Vegas gets approximately 40 million visitors per year per google. So if you do one of those "If Vegas travellers were 100 people thing" how would it look. So 1 person = 400,000 people. Just guessing on what the higher level break points would be for budgets. As we are on the main casino floor, I am guessing the majority there are less than $10k budget. I would also assume that the upper end on budgets make many more than one trip per year, and the majority of the families/non gamblers would go once.

    Kids/ Underage = 50? (20 million visits total)
    Adults/dont gamble, or less than $100 = 20? (8 million visits)
    Gambling budget 100-1000 = 15? (6 million visits)
    Gambling budget 1000-5000 = 10? (4 million visits)
    Gambling budget 5000-10000 = 4? (1.6 million visits)
    Gambling budget 100,000 = 0.6? (240000 visits)
    Gambling budget 250,000 = 0.25? (100000 visits)
    Gambling budget 500,000 = 0.1 (40000 visits)
    Gambling budget 1,000,000+ = 0.05 (8000 visits)

I heard the stat somewhere before (will have to look up to see if I can find) as to exactly how many true whales there are for all of Vegas across all properties. This was for bankroll / LOC of $1 million or more. The # was not as large as you might think.

Ok, found my old notes. There are / were about 400 domestic players with LOC (that actually play to that line) of $1 million or more, and there are an additional 600 or so International players with that line. Two exceptions - I guess there is a certain pool of players that only play at the Wynn or the Bellagio that could add to this # , but since they do not play across several different properties, these #'s could be a little higher since these players info is not public knowledge since they do not play at multiple properties, and of course the Wynn is not releasing this info so that other casinos could market to these "whales".

There is an additional pool of $1m players that have that line, but do not play to that line. They have a high LOC to get priority rooms, event tickets, etc, etc.

I think the sweet spot for mini whale is the $250k - $500k credit lines. There are a lot of players in this category.

What's a lot? I'm one of those that have big lines but don't necessarily play to them every time.

I guess my main point was the numbers were based on actual players playing to their line of credit. The number is higher for total players with that line of credit established at $1 million or higher. These # 's are also a couple years old. I know you have played to your line before, so you would most likely be in the first category (established line and playing to it). I assume that there is a pool of players with a high LOC that have never played to their established line.

Oh I see. Yeah when I first saw those numbers I was surprised as well; guess there's a lot of wealth out there but not a lot of degenerate gamblers...lol

Or they sort of can't really exist together, since by definition they will lose their wealth...
