MJames you summed up my thoughts right up until the John Deere tractor part.

 

I unraveled the mystery of were all the cool kids went, just last week. I am a low roller who thoroughly enjoys the community of vegas lovers who post here. Although some of the threads are a bit wild, its interesting to see how others do vegas and to share their experiances.

I am currently planning our September 4-9 trip, no one here at home quite understands why I get so excited once the countdown starts for our trip....but the folks around here get it....I think I'll hang out for a while and soak it all in.

I just moved here, although you might think I was not even existent „over there“

There are many excuses why I was mostly lurking over there, and I used another nick name as well.
To be honest I have no reason for bad feelings about the other board, its members or mods, and I might still read over there as much as before.

But I noticed the absence of many people who were the reason why I frequently lurked, just because I loved what they wrote, especially in trip reports. And then one after the other disappeared, leaving the often mentioned EI community behind

I am living in Switzerland and English is not my first language, so that’s another excuse why I don’t post often. And I have a very black humor and tend to be very ironic, so I wanted to prevent any comments which are not welcome there.

I got the feeling so far that I would not risk much with one or the other ironic statement here, which makes writing a bit easier J

As I have a long trip from Switzerland every time I was the typical once every few years guest until MyVegas started. Don’t be worried, although I still play the games I could not care less about the value it gives me nowadays.
But it changed my mind about Vegas a few years ago, and I absolutely love going there and gambling now.
I usually fly over 3 time a year now, 5 times in 2015 being a record so far for me

My bankroll is probably at the lower end for most members here, but at least I get sufficient offers for comped rooms, FP and so on from the casinos I like to stay and play, mostly Cosmo, but also different TR and MGM hotels.

Next trip in less than 4 weeks, solo as most times, then in December for my 50th with my wife, which means more golf, food and shows and less gambling. But that is one of the reasons why I love Vegas, there is so many things to do.
Us Europeans are not used to shooting ranges, but we tried it for the first time last trip and absolutely loved it. We make at least one helicopter flight every trip as Vegas from high above is just so beautiful

But my solo trips are always a big adventure, as I have the freedom to do whatever kind of fun comes to my mind J
