Just seen that Weidman is injured, so not competing @ 199.

Helwani thinks Bisping should get it, and although he'll get murdered, I think he deserves a shot.

He won't be around much longer, and has done his time as gatekeeper for the middleweight division.

    Holy shit.

They really can't get a single card to go off as scheduled anymore.

What do you think the odds are 200 actually goes off as scheduled?

    Maybe 30%...

that's what happens when you spread the cards too thin and only do one main event type fight.

Conspiracy theorists may say Weidman is taking a pull, so he can get himself on the MSG card in November :)

There is still one fight to be added to 200, which I'm hoping is Overeem/Miocic, though I can't see it being the case.

I'm glad it is so stacked already, as it would be pretty unlucky to end up with a decimated card, having forked out for tickets.

Weidman needs to stay away from Ruckhold. Smart move. 185 has always been such a week division, but I would like to see Jacare get a chance.

    that's part of it.

but the real issue is the money.

back in the day, if guys didn't fight, they still had to pay for their camp which meant they didn't have money to put food on the table.

so they would fight in any condition regardless of injury.

now they have more money and they don't need to fight.

they're more concerned about keeping the money train going, so they pull out with any injury that they think might affect their performance, which will end up affecting their bottom line down the road.

Has there been a card in recent history that has gone off as originally scheduled? That is the main reason that I am such a fan of Cowboy. One of the last "Anyone, Anywhere, Anytime" guys. Part of the recent enjoyment that I get from the fights is seeing the flurry of activity on Twitter when someone pulls out of a card.
