Let's try this again. The preparations have begun and I'll do my best to post a live report. Family is finally in a good place, and I plan to play this trip low key and just enjoy the break from life.

Girlfriend is flying in July 10 for a Cisco conference. I had a plane ticket purchased to meet up with her on Tuesday after she tests for her certification, but I've ditched that idea and cancelled the flight. I now plan to make a solo road trip and be alone with my thoughts on the open road. Driving can be quite relaxing and eliminates any possibility of flight delays, long-hauling or crying ass babies in the seat next to me.

As of right now we have a room from July 10-16. I haven't decided when exactly I'll leave or when I'll get there, but it will be fun to make the most of the drive during the calm before the storm. The last time we made a road trip to Las Vegas we were on the road for over 20 hours. There isn't much to see driving east to west, but I'll post anything interesting I may see.

For the Vegas part, we have a meeting on Tuesday and plan to see Maroon 5 on Wednesday. Beyond that I plan to spend some quality time with the lady, drink excessively, win tons of fucking money and not have to skip town early again. BR will be around $6,000 for mostly blackjack, roulette and a couple craps sessions. Paris gave me $300 in FP and a mini-"suite."

Trip report will be posted here this time.

A little west of there. I haven't decided if I'll take I80 or I70. Never driven I80 to Vegas, but heard the drive is boring and longer. Anyone?

We'll see, I might regret giving up the cheap Southwest ticket, but I'm excited about the open road in the middle of the summer alone with my thoughts (and coffee). The drive home might be a little taxing after several days in Vegas, but I'll have my girl with me for that leg so it's all good. Might even stop at one of the Utah state parks on the way home.

I've done it one way in a rental and flew there to start. Not too bad. I went further south to catch more of route 66. Lots of cool shit to stop at for short periods of time. Not sure I would want to do it both ways. Good luck!

I guess Route 66 is another option for me but will add at least 6 hours to the total.

We should all meet up somewhere and throw the bones one night.

    1. 4 mini cock rings @Hobofrank lent to me
    2. Macanudo "PP" token
    3. Mini beads, not to be confused with thunder beads.

What does all that say to you?

To me, it says pound the hard four into submission.

Strategy for this trip is to win big on that bet alone. I'll sprinkle some BJ and 'role'ette ((gf is azn and calls it that) around, but the Hard 4 can't miss with everything going for it.

Made my mind up. Going to go north to i70 and ride the wave until I get to Utah. May pick up a second wife there, might not, but all in all should be to the promised land in just over 20 hours counting the 2 free hours I get from daylight savings.
