I went to Portland once for a bachelor party. My friend moved out here for work, but he was originally from Washington. So he had his bachelor party in Portland to make it easier on a bunch of the folks he knew from back home. Was a nice trip. Stayed at Embassy Suites downtown. I was pleasantly surprised at how good of a time i had out there.

Omaha is great! OKC, Tulsa, Wichita.... All better than the Deep South. Other than N'Awlins, I can't stand it anywhere south of the research triangle and east of DFW.

Low 90s and high humidity is hell for us in California used to the marine layer cooling our summer nights. Omaha and Lincoln have come a long way since my days as visiting as a kid.

Humidity sucks. 85 and humid is far worse than 105 and dry. Dripping sweat is a miserable experience when you're not at the gym.
