Sindustry has got me playing VP more and more.

I"m not to his level of play but I am playing it more than I use to.

I think it is better than slots in ROI but still losing.

I play it at the 25 cent level when sitting at the bar. You definitely get more play on your buck than with slots. I'd like to try these machines I see @riders playing next trip for a larger bet. I get fast drinks too. I can't remember the last time I had to order a drink from a cocktail waitress. Lol

Are you looking for a larger bet or it is a game that looks more interesting? All platforms come in various denoms (though the "odds" typically change for the better as you go up in $$$).

@ken2v I'll definitely play a larger bets on those dream card or DSTP machines. I usually play at the bar tops at Palazzo and it's just the basic JOB and DW stuff. So I only play the $1.25 a hand there, but slots I max bet everything. Kinda boring VP play there, but I'm only there a short time. I know the bartenders so well there that they make my drinks in to go cups with lids as I always go play slots. They even make me a new one and send my husband to find me with it when they think I'm running low. Lol That's service!

My wife and I go to Vegas 3 times a year, and always stay downtown, in order to play "full-pay" video poker ... either 9/6 "JOB" . or 8/5 Bonus Poker. We play VP for about 6 to 7 hours per day, and are perfectly happy to break even on a trip, what with all the bonus card points we rack up. With a couple of Royals and several quads, we often come home with a profit. Even breaking even is "profitable", as we never pay for a room, and never pay for a meal.

The problem with this is that the hands that are devalued (full house, flush) are frequently hit in JOB and are approximately 17% of the return of the game.

When a casino offers short pay video poker, they are taking more money out of gamblers wallets, while still offering the big payouts for a royal flush that make you want to come back.
