This will be my first trip report in about 5 years or so, since the days when I first joined VMB. In the early days of VMB, there were not many higher limit players, so when we would post trip reports mentioning how much money we won or lost, there was a lot of disbelief, and comments that we were lying or making shit up, so I took the stance of "why bother". Since then, other higher limit players have joined the boards, and higher limit play and trip reports have become more standard. So, here goes, I will post when I can, and update when possible. Maybe not too many pics, but I'll try.

A brief prelude - so I often go to Vegas for the day to get a haircut and to get in a quick gamble. About 3 weeks ago I flew in on a Saturday to get a haircut and to meet @vegasmacker and @Gaggles for a craps session. After I met the guys, I was down a little and decided to go play some BJ in the Mansion before my flight in a few hours to try to get even for the day. II got down quickly, and then (lol) missed my flight. The session was brutal, and I was soon down about $150k. Finally, after about 10 hours of play, I finally made a comeback! In a previous thread here we talked about quitting sessions with an acceptable loss instead of trying to keep playing to get exactly even. At about 3 am, I was only down about $20k, and going back and forth for the next hour, so I decided to call it a night and quit just a small loser. What a relief! I did not want to go backwards again and give up all the gains I had made back. At the end of the session, I had an average bet of $5000 for 10 hours of play, $25k theo, and used no comps ( i know, I know).

So, this trip is for the Aria / Bellagio ppoker tournament this coming weekend, and to make up for the small loss from the previous day trip. Shifter is hopefully going to be back in town, as well as possibly meeting up with Tellafriend for drinks or dinner one night.

Arriving Thursday night, staying at MGM Skylofts. Golf Friday at Shadow with Shifter if he makes it. Friday night is poker tourney reception at Aria, so we will stay there and have dinner at Carbone. We went there the previous trip and enjoyed it. Saturday is the poker tourney, and then home early on Sunday morning.

Mrs BJ (ha ha) will be joining and last trip I called her "Golden Arm" as she was rolling the bones lights out! She was actually asking what time the craps crew we played with was going to be there as she had so much fun she wanted to roll again! Not bad when a non-gambler is actually asking to go play craps! We were up about $30k during her craps rolls and left a lot of money on the table when the seven out finally came. Looking forward to more craps this weekend.

and just last trip my wife went to see him and now she's addicted.

we're now both going to have to coordinate our Vegas trips with the haircut cycle, lol.

 

I will try anything to get my wife on board with coming to Vegas with me, so I'm adding this to the list!

 

did you actually get your haircut last weekend, or did you miss your appt. AGAIN cause you had to leave town early?? My trips are already planned around the 4-5 week haircut cycle, lol. Found Eric about 4-5 years ago, and haven't gone anywhere else. If I somehow go 8 weeks between Vegas visits, my hair is no bueno

 

I am in town (from ATL) the exact same dates. If you and Tella are open for one more for beverages, I'm in.

 

I made it. it was terrible though because it was 5 minutes after I found out Linux needed surgery and might not make it. I was just sitting there in a state of shock while he cut my hair.
