I liked the philosophy written last week by fellow VB member DaaaBears when he said that when in Vegas he'll eat burgers and shakes and all foods as much as he wants and drink as much as possible and have a great time. He said that he may feel like shit when he gets home, but it will be worth it....

I agree. Part of my upcoming trip is looking forward to eating. This year I've lost a lot of weight so part of my reward will be to eat all the food I wish on my visit. Big breakfasts and bigger lunches and then drinks late afternoon and evening/night, when gambling.

I don't mix food with drinking...Maybe some pretzels or cashews, that's it..

Do you tend to overeat and overdrink when in Vegas.? Isn't it grand..???????????????????????????/

I eat an overdose of protein while in Vegas. Lol At home I eat very little throughout the day, but eat a well balanced, larger portioned dinner. I'll once or twice a trip to LV, order room service breakfast. This consist of a cappuccino with rock candy on a stick to flavor it, two eggs over easy, ham or bacon, breakfast potatoes ( I load with salt), and rye toast with a good slathering of real butter. I don't like or ever use margarine. I drink my breakfast & lunch most days in LV. I will order a very large rare filet mignon and a high carb side. Appetizers of oysters on the half shell covered with a dollop of fresh grated horseradish and a seafood tower on ice with lobster, King crab, prawns, shrimp, mussels and clams. Add more of the horseradish to that and to my steak. Creme Brûlée is my favorite dessert, but love banana cream pie, coconut custard, rich chocolate cake with a pistachio frozen custard. Mmmmmm I eat SO much more in Vegas and never eat a salad. I don't bat an eyelash at or even think about caloric intake. If we eat Italian, it is all about the bread to start. Lol I usually will order a Caprese salad ( this is the only "salad" I eat), calamari, Bone in veal parmigiana, meatballs in Sunday gravy, side of pasta, and tiramisu and pizzelles for dessert. Would this be considered overeating?

My trips are usually a bit longer than the typical weekend. So I can't get away with bingeing either on drinks or food....I enjoy one good meal a day and that's usually it.

Our trips are always 14 nights long. It takes me the other 50 weeks of the year to drop the weight that I gain during those 2 weeks. So yes, overeating and drinking, fucking love it.

There is an occasional trip where I'll eat a lot, but in truth, I don't eat a lot in Vegas. If I'm by myself, I'll maybe get something in the afternoon and then at the end of the night, but not a lot in between. I pretty much run on booze and red bull while there. However, I will say doing that makes me literally devour everything in sight when I come home.

We drink less on vacation than back in the world because we want to get the most out of each day, be it golf or cycling or hiking or just kicking around rubber-necking. Now caloric intake, of that I'm not so sure. Food is central, here or there!

Only place I start drinking when I get up in the mornings. I look for the fanciest cocktails I can find and finish the night with my beloved beer. I'm always looking for a late night snack around 2 am.
