OK everyone, the TR mover is finally here. I've been traveling quite a bit the last few weeks (and still am) so this took a while, but I'm finally done.

So basically

and follow the very simple instructions. I have tested this on Firefox and Chrome. I wouldn't bother even trying to add the bookmarklet to Microsoft Edge, though if you successfully add it (which is a serious pain) then it might work - it has not been tested on Edge or IE, however. It's better just to use a decent browser like Chrome or Firefox.

Enjoy, you should be able to move your TR's fairly easily with this. The resulting TR's from this tool tend to actually be more readable than the originals, because they contain only the OP's posts. If there are any issues, let me know and I'll fix them. It's also pretty fast. I tested on one of Packer's monster 75 page TR's and it finished processing it in about 2 minutes. It will take longer, however, if the poster has attached a bunch of images to the report that are hosted at VMB (this is not an issue with images uploaded via Tapatalk). VMB-hosted images get moved to another image hosting place, as we don't want to be using VMB's bandwidth to serve images on this board, and it adds some time to upload them.

 

I don't have anything to move, but I do appreciate the work you put into this to better our community. Should be fun to reread/read some old TRs once they make their way over here

Working on a couple of minor issues that Shifter pointed out...I'll post here when they are fixed. Probably an hour or so. Probably wait to move any more TR's until they are fixed (they won't affect many TR's actually, except for one issue with extra line breaks, which aren't a huge deal, plus I forgot to remove the VMB hotel links). You won't have to do anything to get the updated version even if you're already added the bookmarklet to your bookmarks bar. It pulls the latest version from my server each time it's run.

Feel free to post any issues/feature requests.

 

All issues that have been mentioned to me have been fixed:

Fixed double line breaks
Removed VMB hotel affiliate links
It now grabs attached images that weren't inserted into the post

Again, you don't need to do anything to have these latest fixes if you already added the bookmarklet to your browser bar. The changes will automatically update.

Very cool. Does it work on other sites than VMB? Guess I could just try it but don't want to break anything potentially.
