I just got back from 5 days at the Delano (March 25-30). I'm too lazy to do a whole write up so I will just provide some comments and observations.
    1. Lost on 2 grounds. First, loss close to 3k at the tables. Had some very good days but one day I crashed and burned, which put me into the negative. Second, since I didn't win I couldn't offset my wife's purchases at Fendi, Hermes, YSL and LV.
    2. For the last six or seven trips, our home base has been MB but we think it is time for a change. The casino is really starting to lack energy. We love the restaurants and enjoy the spa but it has become a family/convention resort. We ate a Aureole and RM Seafood and they were empty even though there was a good crowd this weekend at MB. Food was excellent.
    3. Ate at L'Atelier and it was probably the best meal we have head yet. We had a different sommelier than the last trip (he was a douche) and he made an excellent recommendation. Since most of courses we ordered were seafood based, we went with an excellent German Riesling (don't have the name in front me).
    4. Went to Delmonico's for lunch and thought it was very solid.
    5. On the 3rd day of the trip, I got killed playing BJ. Every time I doubled down I would get a 2 or 3. I must have had 30 double downs in a 3-4 hour stretch and received one face card. Biggest loss was $800 on one hand.
    6. Way too many kids in Vegas. Don't get it.
    7. Contemplating staying at the Wynn next trip. We like the vibe and there are strong restaurants. I gambled their several hours while my wife hit the stores. The tables were fun and it was nice being able to order a Maker's Mark without feeling like a dick. At MB, I could only get a MM if in the HL area, even though I was gambling enough to play in the HL room. Hopefully, my action will get some feelers.
    8. I'm butt tired.

The one we liked and was very helpful is not pictured here. He was more heavyset. As for the dick, I believe he had a goatee. I don't believe it is either one of these individuals. My wife is better with faces and was very clear that this was not the person who waited on us the last time. It was nine months ago so I can't give definitive answer.

Sounds like the same guy. We talked to him for a couple minutes and he topped off our glasses a couple of times.

It was spring break for a lot of schools. It seemed like way more kids then even Summer. MB gets a lot of kids cause of the pool. I love it there though.

Your comment about "ordering a makers mark" made me remember something about my trip...
Playing at Bellagio on the floor: "i'll have a Sierra Nevada"f
Waitress: "sorry, we can't give that out anymore." She then hands us a list of the drinks they're allowed to comp. (i really wanted to get a pick of that list but wasn't able to)
She comes back, and has a Sierra Nevada. She seemed to not even know how it got there, but my friend grabbed it.
The same "we can't comp that" happened for Grey Goose as well.
It wasn't a problem over in the $100 pit, but at the regular pits, they were definitely enforcing that nonsense.

On the other hand, we were at Ballys and Cromwell playing nickels, and they happily gave us Jack, Goose, whatever.

MGM has lost their minds. Your debate between MB and Wynn is interesting. Surely you'll get better comps at MB, but Wynn is soooo much nicer.
