If anyone has 300K+ Marriott and you want cash, I might be willing to buy the points from you...

I fly every week for work and have the ALP & CP as well Chess and I switched up to Delta because I didn't like the times I was getting into the client site or getting home. Delta let me status match challenge to Gold for the year, but I'll probably be Diamond by September.

I did the BS upgrade out of pocket as well and that's how I made CP & ALP in less than 5 months.

Wife and I got the Marriott CC and got the 80k bonus points after meeting the spend requirements and then promptly closed the card. I now travel with only two cards, Amex Platinum ($495 annual fee) because I fly through DTW and ATL and like that it gives me access to Delta Sky Lounges and the Priority Pass lounges. Plus the UR points transfer at 1:1 ratio to multiple airlines. And it also has many other benefits that I've used that offset the $495 fee which is really off putting to some. It also gets you access to the Centurion Lounges, and LAS has one.

I use the Chase Sapphire Preferred to book my hotels (State Govt Rate as well) and rental cars and all restaurants because of the 2x points. These also transfer at 1:1 to multiple airlines.

My opinion: Get the Marriott card, meet the spend and get the 80k points and close it and use your SW card (to count towards the CP renewal) or a card like the CSP or Amex Gold that will get you multiple points per dollar that are worth more transferring elsewhere if you are interested in international travel
