Don't tell Macker or he will have an intervention for me but I hit Tier II Diamond this weekend. The only real benefit you get is $750 airfare credit and I think you get to give your Diamond Benefits to someone else?

Is the airfare one of those gigs where you show em your airline ticket and they pay you back or is it credit for the next flight you join them?

I wouldn't use the airfare credit to go to Vegas but if I could go to Harrah's in NOLA I will use it to go there.

If you have your host call the harrahs travel desk for you, they will book you one or two flights up to the $750 limit. I've used it for both of those in the past. Harrahs in Nola will also reimburse you the airfare in cash if you bring a receipt and sweet talk a host there in the high limit room.

 

Are they reimbursing you using the Diamond aspirations benefit or just reimbursing you? I'm thinking about going out there later this year since they sent me an offer for tix to all the saints home games.

The good thing is that it is $750 US! You should find exactly the flights you want and forward the dets to your host. It's best to include a scanned copy of your passport and travelling companion. Include frequent flier numbers as well. Any overage is supposed to be paid by you, but my host has always covered small overages.
Passport Travel will book your flights. They will ask you to confirm the dets before they actually book it.

 

That's a huge score! I'm looking at planning a trip around a game with that airfare as a hypothetical. Hence my questions....

If not a NFL game, I will use the airfare when I get another free cruise offer and then cruise out of NOLA again.

 

They should be able to comp tickets to the game on the back end (depending on your play obviously). I just had them do this at Harrahs Kansas City. Just needed to show them the ticketmaster receipt.

Passport travel or a host can book the trip for you. You can fly first class if you'd like. It includes at least 4 free nights at any TR destination.

 

I've emailed the host in New Orleans in the past asking to use my airfare credit by booking the flight for me. He has always just said it's easier for him to book it myself and bring the receipt, and he gives me the airfare back in cash. I think technically this means he never really used my diamond airfare credit. That started a couple of years ago. Now he does the same for the seven stars credit ($1200) in airfare.
