I'm sitting here today and realizing it is over 5 months to our next trip. We usually do 6 per year, but I had to cancel Christmas and my wife's birthday trip in Feb. All because of complications of my wrist surgery. Damn, not going until Thanksgiving and that will only be the third trip this year, plus I have winnings from the June 3rd trip burning a hole in my pocket.

In Wisconsin you wait all winter for summer and festival season, so we're not going anywhere soon. There is a festival almost every weekend around here in summer. Up next...Strawberry Fest. We just had Polish Fest. After that there will be 11 days of Summerfest.

    Just lamenting, that's all.

    Joe,
Really? You're picking a fruit fest over Boar's Head Bar?
    (picking, get it?)

Yea I know. But we're up here Nov-sometimes through April with cold, snowy weather. It would seem a shame to get out of here now, just when the weather is beautiful. Its been so long since we were at Boar's Head (April) Jose won't even recognize me.

Our normal timetable is Jan, Feb, April, then Oct Nov & Dec. We had to kill the Oct trip this year also.

Joe, here is a free tip... use both hands while playing VP... try the "slidy finger" on the screen when holding three or more cards in a row. This will minimize VP wrist injuries? Aggressively pushing buttons over and over with one hand is going to cause problems... been there, done that!

Good to see you are on this board Squid. I've always enjoyed your posts on VMB and your sense of humor.

On a more serious note, the wrist injury came from a fall, broken wrist and two pins inserted. Then carpal tunnel in the same hand and another surgery. Both in the left hand, not my VP hand. I'm not a pounder on VP. I'm gentle with the buttons so I don't piss off the machine.;)

We're all creatures of habit, to some degree. For me it was no Hawaii in 2015, and looking like only once this year. Felt weird.

LOVE all those festivals you have back there!
