The Masters. So many things that are just wrong with the game are what Augusta is all about, and yet I can't turn away.

PT, I don't bet on sports for a reason, because I bet heart or who I want, not based on anything remotely logical. According to the talking heads, three weeks back it was Adam Scott because he'd just won two straight, now it is Day because he's won two straight, no it is Bubba because he won in LA and like the Giants wins in even years, no it is Spieth because he is Spieth, no it is DJ because he should just win all these things, no it is Fowler just because, no it is ...

Looks like decent winds the first two rounds, I will say that.

That's more of a product of the depth of talent on tour which is light years better than at any point in history. During Tiger's prime, it was pretty much just Tiger, with Phil/Ernie/Duval taking turns being a distant second. Today, there are 20 guys that are every bit as talented as Tiger was in his prime, but they don't dominate because they aren't playing against a bunch of out of shape, late 30s guys who folded like cheap lawnchairs when a guy who was actually athletic and powerful was playing with them.

    Personally I like:

    Day
    Bubba
    Scott

Out of the favorites (I like DJ too, but I feel he's this generations Greg Norman... probably the best player talent wise on tour, but snakebit in the majors which makes him choke)

    Longer shots I like:

    Snedeker
    Matsuyama
    Grace

    Really long shots:

    Knox
    Na
    Hoffman

Also I have to add, that Thursday and Friday of Masters week is the most frustrating time ever for a golf fan. Why on earth isn't every shot televised in some way shape or form? It's absurd that you can't watch the morning rounds either day.

How do you think you'd shoot there ken2v? Talking about strokes above your current 'average' score? I've heard that a single digit handicap would have a hard time breaking 100 in a US Open set up. So with Augusta being so wide open off the tee (and I've heard that you have a some good distance, yet not as accurate off the tee - hey - just reading your reports!!), driving should be fine, but those treacherous greens complexes, would getting up and down be the problem?

On another note, please consider some of my bets for this year's Masters:

    McDowell 100 - 1
    Koepka 60 - 1
    Simpson 125 - 1
    Willett - 50 - 1
    Johnson 12 - 1

I have a few more, however, will only post when they are in contention - LOL!!

Yes the greens are what get you there. And the length.

I know people who have played there but not from the champ tees and they said 3 and 4 putting is common when you don't know where to leave the ball and how to read the greens and aren't used to the crazy speed.

Honestly? Not like most of the "golfers" we know? Well, if I double every hole that's still only a 108. I'd say the 120s are not outside the realm of possibility.

    If I gotta pick:

    Scott
    King Louis
    Bubba
