We're on day one of a three day weekend here in the UK and a casino trip is most definitely in the works.

England has a serious problem that our government won't acknowledge. A distinct lack of craps tables is plaguing the die hard dice rollers that inhabit this small island.

A relatively new casino in London has come to the rescue. The Hippodrome, formally a nightclub by the same name, has a basement with 2 full size tables and a friendly crew to ease our jonesing without the need for a 10 hour plane ride to Vegas.

My partner (who will be referred to as T from here on in) and I will be heading south to London tomorrow afternoon for 3 of our favourite pastimes: EATING, DRINKING & GAMBLING (although not necessarily in that order).

Gambling bankroll is £750 ($1100, based on today's exchange rate).

What are the basic rules and pays on the tables? How much in odds? Pay triple on the field? How much to the hard ways pay? Any vig on buying the 4 and 10?

Other than 2x odds I can live with that. Just need to make a uk trip. Every time I plan a Europe trip I keep getting further and further east. My last trip was to Prague. Loved it. Now I want to go into Slovakia, Poland, Croatia, etc....

 

Played Roulette online this morning and won £250 in a little under an hour.

Hopefully that's a sign of things to come.

We both have matchplays for a couple of casinos near to the Hippodrome so we will walk around a little bit to hopefully pad the bankroll before rolling the bones.

Good music helped. England isn't known for country music like the US, which sucks given that's pretty much all that I listen to. There is one digital station that broadcasts in and around London which is the closest I can find to 102.7 The Coyote (which is all that plays in our rentals while in Vegas).
