I am remembering the Desert Inn this morning. Yes, great times and history there. Old school. Where the big baccarat tables rocked all night. People not dressed in hoodies and ripped jeans, no t-shirts and half their words spoken were not slang, people not looking at their I-phones while playing. It was truly a great time in the 80's and 90's out there.

I had this in a box and a piece or two needs to be remounted. Some memories of the Desert Inn.

Great stuff Glenn. 80s 90s! Man I remember going with my parents in 70s. I played golf there in 1982 or so. I have a leroy neiman painting of the big baccarat table with the dressed up gamblers playing. Great times and yes I still like the dressed up version of las vegas. My parents wouldn't even think of going down to the casino at night without dressing up. Those were the days when your handshake meant everything.

But, we change with the times and enjoy the new progress so although I'm feeling nostalgic no "screw SW" for me.

We didn't get a lot of time at the DI, but enough to miss it mightily. I'm not anti-Wynn or Encore, at all, but just loved the DI. And it was an awesome golf course.

The few times I played earlier I did at the D.I., somehow I found that Titleist wrapper in my box of Vegas stuff. Did you see that in the shadow box?

There was just something about the DI from the 80-90's that when Wynn bought the place, it was like a huge piece of great history being wiped out. Progress I guess. I spent time there, especially in the 90's. Lots of baccarat.

    That's badass. Love the pics.

And let me use this as a time to say I really like dressing up in Vegas. I know that's a horse that's been beaten to death, but I really like wearing a suit to the tables at night.
