Love your trip reports Tesla. Very detailed. My host at Bellagio sucks too thats why I have a host at Mirage now that can work for any MGM casino.

 

Great trip report. Minor note, but didn't you mean playing heads up increases the rate at which you experienced variance rather than paying heads up increased your variance? Just didn't understand that comment.

Screw the Bellagio host. Go where you're appreciated!

 

I meant the first way because I was thinking that heads up means more hands per hour. But that's a good clarification.

You could argue that heads-up play will also increase your variance if (for some reason) you bet bigger than you do at a full table, or, if you are counting, you spread more aggressively.
