Has anybody stayed at Sunset Station? How are the rooms and pool?

 

Several years ago. It's a mid-tier Stations property. I'm not a big fan. The stained glass ceiling over the pit area is impressive, and Sonoma Cellar is a legitimate steakhouse, but other than that, pass.

The rooms are very basic, but larger than the norm. The pool area is also no frills. The pool areas at Red Rock, Aliante and M Resort are much nicer. If Sunset sent you a teaser offer, its worth a shot, but don't expect luxury amenities. For a comparison, rooms are on par with the older Harrahs or Bally's rooms.
