Probably real late to this party, but just read the book, and then found this documentary on YouTube. Thought I would share it as it was well done.

Edit: Just saw there was a 2003 movie staring Michael Imperioli from Soprano's as Stu. Will have to try and find that.

This. High Roller: The Stu Unger Story. Had never heard of it when I found it used at a local record/dvd store and I've watched multiple times since. A bit of overacting from Imperioli but a story many on this board will likely appreciate.

Its def worth watching. Imperioli (sp) does a good job in my opinion playing Unger. There is a book about him with a forward by Mike Sexton that is also a good read.

Having seen a few films on him, I was trying to think of a phrase that described him based on that... then I scrolled down just a bit and saw your post next. "Tortured genius" certainly fits the bill.

Unfortunately that fit one of my best friends also. He and Stu lasted about the same amount of time here on this planet.

Just watched the movie on iTunes earlier toady, it's good, but not as good as the book, but something decent enough to watch.
