Made a quick run to a local (1/12 hour away) Indian casino to satisfy the urge to gamble until my trip to Vegas in November. The casino is in Lemoore Calif. $850 BR for me. $500 for the wife.
I play mostly craps and BJ and slots when I want to (or better)hang out with the wife. This will be mostly cards since they don't have a craps table.
Slow start partnering $100 each in a $1 machine with the SO. We muddle around for a hour and cash out dead even. That's cool, she buys out my share of the ticket, and I am off to play cards.
$100 at 3 card poker, felted immediately, Jesus! Probably saw 3-4 hands.
On to pai gow and win the hundo back. Felt like I could have done better with a few straights and flushes for bonus money but couldn't get a roll going with $40 base bet and $5-10 bonus/envy bet. No commission on this game. I'm out! Even so far!
On to 6 shoe 3/2 BJ. Buy in $300 at $15 table with three players already playing. I'm play for 45 mins and up $200 on bet size ranging from $15-$50. The other players playing goofy, staying on 14-16 when dealer has 8 or better. But I'm winning mostly so who cares? I am no expert and don't figure their play affects me one way or the other. But I did bounce to another table up $200.
Now at a six shoe 3/2 $25 BJ. At the casino 2 hours or so and up $200. Buy in $400 and start playing $25/ hand. Short winning streak, bet increased to $75. I got this dealer on the run now! Aces for me against a 5. Split them, infor $150 and ace, ace. Shit, 2 twelves against a five. Dealer turns over a four, drops a 10 on top for 19 and there goEs $150. It's been a good shoe and I keep working until I'm up $200. Walk away, up $400 for the trip.
FYI, I have started to learn from all the talk about " lock up the win" on this forum. That doesn't always mean thousands, for me it is hundreds, but winning is the most fun.
I moved to $5 slots to try to get up a few grand. Limited success.

Here is the lone picture from last night. I didn't do a very good job documenting this with chip porn.

Not to recap for those following along. I was never down more than $100, moved around some cards then $5 slots and at +$800 now after maybe 3 hours or so? Maybe I should re read this report but screw it! Onward!
I head back to to BJ and sit at a $25 table with 1 guy there with probably $1200 in front. Maybe this is a good omen. I buy in for $400 and we proceed to almost double up in 15 minutes. He leaves and cashes out $2220, and I decide to leave when he does. I cash out $700! Nice rush I am on, caught up in the gamble! Up $1100 on the trip.
I head back to the $5 slot to ride the wave and dump $300. Over to mini baccarat to win it back and dump $200. Back to the old standby BJ, and lose $200. I feel desperate now. Do you ever feel that way? I just want to bet $500 one hand. Get back where I was. Call the wife for dinner, I'm up $400 and feeling defeated, she is holding her own at slots-$40 after 4 hours or so. Go to the cafe for some grub.
Over dinner we decide we will lock up the win and leave a winner. I convince her we should take $200 to the HL slots to win some real dough. We can leave up $200 worst case, right?
Whatever, that ain't how it goes.

Ok, our hero returns with a willing partner and $200 to dump in the $5 double diamond machine. We throw max bet 7 times and the machine is acting weird. Not slowing down like earlier when you have 2 scattered double diamonds. Move on. Over to a $25 machine to make our fortune. 1 credit, won 8 played it down to $105 or something. Ok, this isn't working, drop to dollars. Wife gives me another $70 ticket and we dump the $175 into the dollar machine.
Did you see what happened there? The wife gave me the $70 extra and we have only $130 locked up.
So, we play it down to $75 and the wife is done. Let's go, really. I decide I will take the $75 to the BJ table. Win, press, win leave. Right!?
$75 bet, I have 5-5 against dealer up card of 6. Pull additional $80 out of pocket and double. Fucking 2! Dealer has 6-3 and hits 10 for a 19.
So where did I end up? I was up $400 at dinner, in $270 at slots, walk with $75. Bet it at BJ and have to pull $80 more for the double down. Now I have committed $350 of the $400, and I'm pissed. Drag another $100, one bet, lose. Wife is frustrated with me. Pull money clip out and empty whatever isn't hundreds onto the felt. $110 left to gamble, at least all I will risk.
So now I am down $50 for the trip, with an additional $110 to gamble. Shelly isn't real happy with my style. $55 bet, lose.$550 bet win. $110 bet win. The wife looks on in horror $75 bet win. I full press the $290 or so, stay on 16 against a 4 up. Dealer busts! $275 bet and pull 20 against the dealer 14. Dealer get 4! That's right! Regress my bet to $100 and lose.
Another small win, not sure where I was dollar wise and cash out 2 purple. $1020. I am willing to leave now, go to the cage for cash.
I gently urge the wife that maybe taking another stab at the shoe with a $500 by in might be the right thing to do. She is ready to head home, that is too much excitement for her taste, and right where I want to live. Gambling all of it and coming up. Damn I love that!
After all said and done, +$900 this morning.
Thanks for reading along, I have a trip in November booked and will try a live TR.
I may hit Reno in a week as an offshoot to a camping trip in the eastern Sierras this week.
