Road trip, indeed. LOVE that part of the world. Food, people, scenery, wine ... give me some Oz and particularly NZ!

This breaks my long-held stereotype that Aussies are sober, peaceful, and rational.

 

Yes, my understanding is that Australians, particularly the males, are very open minded and accepting of all types of people and are really really nice and not opinionated at all.
I am shocked as well!

 

I've played in most of the Australian Casinos around the country. Hmmm....hmm....Australians you meet who travel are seriously wonderful people. The casinos are typically filled with Asians in the Sydney and Melbourne Casinos. Very well behaved. Then there are the the usual players who do what they do and mind their own business. Then...there are those that go to the Casinos to drink because other places close for the evening. The term I am looking for is "Bogen". I think the closest American term would be "Redneck"? I once played in the oversize craps pit (their one table) and have witnessed fists flying. However, this does NOT represent Sydney. If you've never been to Sydney, Melbourne or Australia in general, I thoroughly recommend that you visit this wonderful country.
