They had fremont street blocked off and you had to go way around and out of the way between fremont and The D last night.

 

I like your style...and though I don't find myself downtown often, I do gravitate to The D when I'm there. It's loud, lively and friendly.

 

Full pay bonus deluxe VP, but the fuckers don't pay 2 to 1 on 2 pair on JOB or Bonus Poker, not even CET does that. I do get great service at the Long Bar and my drink never goes empty.

 

Yes, the one thing about Long bar is that the Bonus or JOB does pay higher on 4oak, but it's still screwed up not to have two pair pay 2-1. I've seen similar things at times at MGM properties. It doesn't bother me so much as the upstairs bar is available if I want to play BP, and pays correctly, plus I tend to feel a little cramped at Longbar, always feels like there is someone over your shoulder.

 

I tend to enjoy gambling at The D. I prefer the Vue bar for video poker, both for the paytables and the progressives on the quads and Royal. Craps is usually fun there too. Also now you can use your food comp at Le Thai!

 

Yes they have midi-baccart that runs $25 during the week and $50-$100 on the weekend.

 

Yeah - a true pain-in-the-ass for several hours... I actually felt sorry for DTG that afternoon, as they had all of 3rd street closed to any foot traffic all the way to Ogden.
Never did find out if the guy jumped or not...sort of figured he did since the streets were blocked for so long.

 

The D has always treated me well as a low roller. I put through 8k coin in one day playing $1 Deuces and have been getting decent offers ever since. My only problem is their selection of VP and recent downgrades on the deuces upstairs. I still play mostly at downtown Boyd properties. But Derek Stevens is a champion in my books! Has always treated VIMFP attendees like family!

 

When you say decent, what do you mean? Comps any night of the week? Basic room? D suite?
