Two months ago, I impulsively booked a RT flight from Colorado Springs to Las Vegas for my 6th Vegas trip. A combination of my Vegas hangover, low fares ($164), and a rough week at work as a special education assistant led me to book it.

In the time since the booking, I have accepted a 30k a year position in Denver as a middle school social studies teacher in a two year program that will get me a CO teaching license and master's degree by the end. I am also graduating with an American History-Political Science degree on May 16th, so I'm calling this my "graduation and employment celebration" rather than the more apt and accurate reason that I'm a degenerate. It's a total budget trip as I'm hoping to move into a Denver apartment June 1, right as I start my summer camp job.

I'm staying at the El Cortez at the casino rate ($244 for the weekend), and planning to eat at some old favorites (Flippin' Good Burgers, Binion's Cafe, Banger Brewing, maybe DuPar's) as well as try some new ones (Pizza Rock). I am the biggest fan of the Farm Burger at Flippin' Good Burgers, so I am beyond excited to eat (at least) one. I will of course be giving Mermaid's a suitable farewell, where I will get the classic frozen chocolate banana as well as trying a deep fried Twinkie and Oreo for the first time. I may even get a yard beer for a souvenir glass.

Gambling wise, I play mainly tables and VP. I have a $500 bankroll for the trip, which I will be dividing among the days, with $100 each tonight and Sunday, and $150 each Friday and Saturday. As a broke college kid, strict bankroll management is a must, so I will be locking in each day's winnings when I pass out for the night.

I'll be hitting up the Fremont for $3 craps, MSS for some nickel VP (as well as comped 777 brews and hopefully many scratch offs), Binion's for some quarter VP (and to avenge my $160 loss last trip without a single 4OAK), and the D/Golden Gate for some $5 3:2 BJ. And of course, No trip would be complete without getting hammered while playing Sigma Derby!

I'm planning to do a LVA/ACG coupon run on Friday with Stu (smerriman on another board) that will take me off LV Boulevard for the first time. I'm very excited and hope to lock in some early wins with a fellow degenerate. I'll also be meeting a girl from Tinder who I met up with two trips ago (not Tinderella!) Friday night.

Saturday is a free day. I'm considering taking the SDX down to the Las Vegas sign which I've somehow never photographed despite being in Vegas 5 times. I may try to walk all the way from MB to CC, taking in the entire strip with a drink in hand and taking advantage of Win Books along the way.

Those are all of my "plans" for the time being, but I am a very laid back traveller in Vegas who enjoys following his whims and doing what feels right in the moment. It'll be fun to see how this trip goes! I'm very excited to have a solo trip, so I'm completely free to do what I want! I haven't kept up with a true live TR before, but I'll do my best to make it fun for you guys!

Hey Sergio. It would have been fun to meet a youngin just establishing his vegas degeneracy. Unfortunately I don't fly in until the 10th. Have a great trip. Congrats on the new position. Win some money and have a blast.

I recommend to hit the D casino for Vue bar VP. Drunken sigma derby also has some fun and micro bankroll friendly. Good luck.

    Thank you!

Thank you! Good luck to you on your trip. Hopefully we can meet up some time in the future, because I hope to have many more trips :)

I've always meant to play at the D's bar. I've heard good things. Thank you!

Checked in! Doing some last minute packing before my friend brings me to the airport.

Got seat 6F, which is a window. It's unfortunate for the people next to me because I have to pee at least once after drinking my contraband rum and coke.

Thank you. I really appreciate your kind words. I got a BOGO Chipotle burrito on Tuesday which was a nice bonus!

Thanks! Good luck in your slot tournament!

Have a great time and best of luck - careful with the contraband rum and coke - did the same last week on the way to Vegas and was threatened by the flight attendant that TSA would be waiting for us to discuss drinking our own liquor on the plane (maybe we could have been a little less obvious in our consumption).

I look forward to following along!

Thank you! I always mix the drinks before I get on the flight so I have plausible deniability. I'm also really friendly to the flight attendants when I get on just in case...
