It seems the trend even on the reel machines is going toward these high number of lines. Instead of 2/3/5 lines most of the newer machines seem to be 9/25+ lines so you guys actually prefer these machines? Half the time Incant even figure out why a machine win or didn't on those 25 line ones ( or ones with lots of reels rather than 3)

I'd rather play a $10 3 credit machine than a $1 25 credit by a mile!

 

I like the multi line machines. I agree that it can be very hard to figure out why you win what you win. I get bored playing one and three line machines. It just feels like there aren't enough chances to win.

 

Depends on the game I guess. On WoF I prefer the 1-line/3 coin machines to the newer 5/5 line/coin machines. On other machines I prefer to play 9+ lines.

I agree with elf above however that multi-line machines seem a lot more fun.

 

With the many line machines you can end up with "losses disguised as a win" meaning yes you got a winning combo but the total win was still less than what you spent for the spin.

 

I usually prefer to play more lines at a smaller bet. Ideally i play something that has a max bet of 3, so even if I'm playing 20 lines I'm only betting 60 credits. I hate not playing max bet on any machine. Obviously I'm not playing 60 credits on a $1 machine (too rich for my blood), but if it's a nickel or quarter, that's my preference

 

I rarely play 1 line reels. I like 5 line typically for extended play. I'll play quite a bit of $5x5. The 5 reels or million combo ones I'm usually not a fan of but for a quick session or lower denom.

All that being said, in a trip, I'll play damn near anything if I'm feeling it

 

I have won big playing 3 lines times 3 on Cats slot machine or .09 bet. I got 10 of the top paying symbol, The Black Panther and I won $75 on a .09 bet. That is nothing to sneeze at! I also won $50 by playing 2 lines times 10 or .20 on Wild Wolf! Also great!

 

I also got $100 on a .25 bet!

 

That is exactly the story of my brief career with ULTIMATE X VP....2 full houses, 5 2 pair and a 3OAK (or something like that, it was awhile ago) and its still not a break even spin...
