At Wynn they'll usually flip the table to Non-smoking if you are first there and request it, even at the $25 tables.

Man, I don't know if I can gamble without smoking the occasional cigar. It is part of the Vegas experience for me.

I'm a "Vegas-only" smoker, so if a property decided to ban it, I would go to an e-cig...if they nonsensically banned that too, I'd adjust just fine...but here's the thing - I drink MORE when I smoke...and I only smoke when I'm gambling and drinking...and I drink a LOT less if I'm not smoking... and I play better (and keep a more-accurate count) when I'm drinking less.
Surely, the casinos realize that there are others like me out there.
But whatever... I'm good with whatever they decide to do...so long as it the property owner making that decision - not some puritanical government bureaucrat, wringing his hands over the fact that somebody is having fun somewhere.

I am a Vegas only smoker as well. I try to be courteous though. I won't just sit down and light up if I wasn't there first. I do feel that a lot of VP players smoke for some reason though lol

In Washington, the only place that people can smoke indoors, at least to my knowledge, is at the Indian casinos. My wife absolutely hates smoke, but loves to go gamble, so she will deal with it when she wants to play slots. The ventilation sucks, much much worse than Vegas. It doesn't bother me unless someone is right in my face with it. But on the nights we do go out we have to strip down and immediately shower before bed

If we are just going to play table games she likes the little cardrooms that are non smoking.

At some point (it might be 2 years from now or 50 I simply don't know) as the number of people that continue to smoke declines the casinos will be leaving more money on the table from the people that stay away because of the smoking than they would loose by the people that would stop going if it wasn't allowed. So yes at SOME point I think Vegas will be smoke free or at the least will have totally separate (meaning walled off) smoking and non-smoking casinos.

I'm frustrated that the casinos don't seem to care about improving the situation.

Their future degenerate customers are moving away from traditional cigarettes. CDC fact sheet:

Among high school students, 9% smoke cigarettes. 16% use e-cigarettes.

Is it possible that casinos may someday allow e-cigs only?

I'm a non smoker, grew up with asthma... but i love the fact that you can smoke in the casinos. I don't enjoy smoke being blown into my face, but i don't get that very often. I guess its the sense of freedom that i enjoy. Plus it gives a casino that unique smell every time you hit the floor.

I think it's going to happen for two reasons.

First, nonsmokers generally hate being exposed to cigarette smoke. Now that they becoming the vast majority of people in public spaces and they've figured out that they can get smoking severely restricted or banned, it's going to eventually happen everywhere.

Second, smokers seem to be getting more and more rude. When I started going to bars, everyplace was smoking. All smokers would notice if you weren't smoking and would take care to keep their cigarettes away from you and not blow smoke in your face. Combine this with a greater willingness for the majority to impose restrictions on your ability to smoke in public and end up with nonsmoking casinos pretty quickly.
