I did manage to actually get all the work finished I needed to before I left, which is a first.

usually I end up sending last minute emails to everyone telling them, sorry, it will be next week before I get to that.

Sounds like me on work trying to get everything done before going to Vegas. I'm stuck at the office unless I can get everything finished. If I can I'll catch a flight out this weekend.

well, no win so far.

won't get upgraded. I originally booked coach to sit with my buddy, but then my wife decided to come and I booked her in first and hoped I would get upgraded. I thought Diamond meant something, but I'm NINTH on the upgrade list with one seat available.

these Vegas flights are just chalked full of high Diamonds, it's brutal getting an upgrade.

 

At Bellagio when I used to play absurd amounts of money, I walked up to the cage with $300K in flags and told them I wanted to color up to grays. I'll never forget the cage manger's response..."sorry sir, we reserve those for our big players". I had been playing $30K/hand (2 spots @$15K) all afternoon, and that $300K brought my FM balance to $1,030,000.00. This apparently did not qualify me as a "big player".

I eventually got my grays by withdrawing front money, more determined than ever after that comment to have a few in my possession - but on a later shift lol.

You must be one of those "big players" he was talking about to get the grays .

 

WTF does "reserving" casino chips mean?

I probably would have made some smart-alec remark like, "Well, I'd like to reserve three gray chips then, please."

 

I was so stunned I didn't have a response lol. Much later that night I told the casino shift manager what had happened. He was equally stunned and he walked me up to the cage and ordered them to give me whatever I wanted to take out in whatever form I wanted it lol.
