    ok, time for something substantive.

I'm not a huge wine drinker (beyond pinot noir), nor do I drink much sangria, but let me put this on everyone's radar:

Try the sangrias at Fleur @ MB. I have had it a few times and each time was the best I have ever had. Also some good grub and people watching while you enjoy your tasty beverage.

    Carry on.

The sangria is also good at Julian Serrano at Aria as well as Hecho at the MGM.
My wife has a killer red sangria recipe that I will get her to dig out so I can post it here. It is the best I like of all the ones I have tried. Uses Brandy, and most other recipes do not.

Ok, found it. About 10 minute prep time. This is for about 16 servings, and we double or triple this recipe if making for a party.

    1/2 cup Brandy
    1/3 cup fresh orange juice
1 bottle chilled red wine. (We use Pinot or Merlot for this)
1 can (6 oz) frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
    2 cups ginger ale
Add fruit as desired. We use one of the frozen mixed berry packs that has strawberries, blackberries, boysenberries.
Garnish with an orange slice if desired.

Mix all ingredients except ginger ale and fruit into punch bowl or large pitcher. Refrigerate until chilled. Just before serving, add in ginger ale and frozen fruit. Garnish with orange slice if desired.

    Enjoy!

Good sangria is fantastic. Not too sweet, not too alcoholic. Just a great summer drink. Recipe looks good, VegasBJ. Thanks for posting!

I'm doing a weekend up at the lake. I'll be giving this recipe a try for our crowd. Sangria will be perfect for sitting on the dock. Thanks for sharing.

I second Julian Serrano at Aria. Olives also has great sangria. Sangria is one of my favorites. :)

I recommend if you make your own to use apricot or peach brandy. It makes it even better.
