Thanks for posting. Very nice fireworks display but what does it say about the times when an implosion is no longer enough to stimulate the senses. We need fireworks.

Oh well, I'm getting old. I am happy to say that I have stayed at every Strip hotel they have imploded. Dunes, Sands, Dust and even Landmark. I'm probably forgetting an implosion or two?

I'm curious what a place like the Peppermill goes through during an implosion like this being they are right next door. Closed for multiple days to clean up?

I have always said I want to be in Vegas to see one of these implosions. I did see TEXAS Stadium get imploded but nothing like they do in Vegas with the fireworks. Wonder which would be next. If you asked me it should be Aria (LOL Just the Hotel) but more than likely not going to happen so will keep my eyes open of the next one and I'll have to make it to Vegas to see a implosion Vegas style.

You & me both, Joe... did you forget Desert Inn & the ("New") Frontier?
...and, although not "implosions", there was also the Silver Slipper, Castaways & the Westward Ho!

Giving myself a dope slap. Of course Frontier, many times on junkets. Fly in for 48 hours, be given a $1,000 in play chips and be expected to churn them over. Full RFB.

I also forgot about DI, but I don't think I ever stayed stayed there, just a bit too rich for my budget back then. I did play at the same craps table with Rita Rudner at DI.

I did stay more than once at the Ho, but didn't count that. I never stayed at Silver Slipper, but did gamble there. Crap, I'm getting old, I can't even remember Castaways. I remember the name, but that's it. Remind me where that was located.
