I had some time on my 3 flights in 2 days and finally got around to this. This is mostly picture and mostly VP pics at that. So be fare warned if that isn’t your thing.


I wanted to recap this trip here as I had a lot of support on my job search and would like to thank everyone with some VP porn. I did this live elsewhere but couldn’t keep up with 2 of them with work. This might actually be a better read now that I can put some more writing with it.


I accepted a new job about a month ago. Good job, better money but not real exciting at this moment. On the plus side, I was able to convince them that I needed to attend a trade show the week after I started, so off to Vegas I went. The only downside to this trip is that the show is at The Rio and I will be staying there. I stayed there, last year for the same show and it was a good gambling trip but didn’t enjoy the room at all. Last year I stayed in the Impanema tower, so decided to stay in the Masquerade tower this time. Booked a strip view and requested a high floor.


Beyond the work meetings and show sessions, I had very little planned. Was having dinner with friends from the board on Wed and catching up with another at Cosmo later than night.


Still on the DSTP kick and most play is at 10 play. I has also planned to play mostly quarter bartops at Rio as that was where I had the most luck last time and this would keep my bankroll requirements to a minimum. (you will see that plan go out the window .. LOL )

Landed in Vegas and ready to go. Always try $20 at the airport. Had one good hit but wanted the bonus round and it didn’t come.

Decided to try Uber this time around since I was on a “Biz” trip. I booked it as I was hitting the baggage area. Since I didn’t have any baggage I stopped in to the Liquor Library but just picked up a Monster Energy drink. I figured I would have more time but Uber driver was already waiting on me ….. took me a minute to find where the ride share pick-up was but wasn’t hard just new to me. When I booked the UberXL fare to The Rio I thought it was about $17 which was reasonable but I just checked the receipt and it was for about $25 and based on the map, I got tunneled. Maybe I missed something with the original fare or I got screwed just as they tried to do when I left on Friday (I will explain later).


Got checked in and headed to the room to drop off my stuff.

The rooms were as bad as I remembered. I would say they were clean but not that clean. Since I was there for work, the only thing that I really needed to us was the desk and that had to be the smallest desk I have ever seen in a hotel room and the desk chair was… well …worse … oh well … I guess I just need to make sure I don’t stay in the room that much….
