Some of the marketing people at CET really makes me scratch my head.

Back in mid-July I asked a CET marketing executive if it was possible for me to switch hosts in LV because the one I was assigned had poor communication skills and screwed up a couple of reservations. Based on a referral from a VB member, I asked to be reassigned to another host. The Executive apologized and with the snap of a finger, I had a new host!

This new host surprised me during my last trip with a meet and greet with Jennifer Lopez after a concert in late July. That was really cool of him and made my GF really really happy.

This past week, I emailed my new host to book my 7* trip for December, he responds "ok" but it will take about a week because Passport is backed up. 3 days later, because my plans changed, I sent him a follow up email asking him to change my itinerary because I am coming back in November instead of December.

He responds that he's still waiting to hear back from Passport. Then he writes "Just FYI, XX XX is still your assigned host in Las Vegas". When I asked him why I was never switched, the new host says "Didn't happen. Just letting you know." :banghead:

I've emailed the Executive and am currently waiting a response. This just frustrates the heck out of me. If it wasn't for the free airfare I would move all my play to Cosmo or Bellagio.

For those who care ... I received a reply email from the CET executive last night, who said that the change in host was submitted earlier in the year and there was no reason why it had not gone through; he promised to look into it and said that I should continue to work with my new host.

My assigned host has stepped up the service over the last couple of trips. He's covering off a Mat Leave for my original hostess who is pretty good by CET standards. He's scored me a couple things I had overlooked and also couldn't get myself through the TR site. However, the suspicious side of me is wondering if this better service was triggered by me hitting Level II Diamond Status over the last year vs regular Diamond. With all the bonuses I think Diamond is not to difficult to get and to be fair, I didn't have high expectation as a Low-Mid Diamond player. But now that I've packed the coin in to get Level II Diamond I feel like I should be expecting a bit more or at the least insisting on a bit more.

I think it's about expectations and in the Vegas universe I still am not sure where my play stacks up. But the bottom line from my experience is a CET host can't do much more than you can do for yourself on line. Especially when compared to MGM hosts. But...MGM props are harder to get comps at and require concentrated play.

    I feel your pain Rycelover.

I'm planning on using my $750 air fare to go to NOLA. Where you going? And let us know how painful or pain free the process is please. I've heard that some hosts just literally meet you in the HL room and pay your air fare back in cash. Thanks!

Would to hear about this too. Thinking of taking my DAL 2 trip to NOLA. Now I have to figure out my 7* trip now base on my last trip.
