Did an impromptu Philly trip this past weekend to see how Sugarhouse and Harrahs Philadelphia were...
First impressions: Not likely that I'd revisit - Sugarhouse, though it's the closest casino in Philadelphia proper, didn't have much of a vibe going. No hotel, and apparently there's another casino coming up by the stadium WITH a hotel in the next few years. Won a little (1200) before taking a taxi to go check out Harrahs Philadelphia.
Unfortunately, didn't realize how far away Harrah's Philadelphia was - yikes. Half an hour later, get to Harrah's - no hotel there either, so this was going to be a sleepless trip :).
After grabbing some quick food - it was time for degen mode on.
I brought a deeper bankroll than usual, so it was time to get some gaming on.
The pattern I seemed to fall into - win 3-4x my buy-in. End of the shoe - take a walk.
    Next table - get destroyed.
Following table - get destroyed (win is gone at this point)
Next table after - can't lose a hand, but scared so I don't press the advantage - end up with 3-4x of the buy-in again.
    Following table - get destroyed.

One of my habits is cashing out after the big wins, so I ended up doing a LOT of buy-ins for the evening... lots of CTR's for the visit.

For the first time ever though - I did feel unsafe in a casino. Cashing out low-5 figures at one point in the night, after the money was handed over, the cage supervisor asks me if I wanted a security escort to my car... At that point I became very situationally aware. Apparently the location is across the street from a prison, which I was unaware of hopping out of the cab at 10pm (!?).

So - this went on for the entire night - ended up picking up 4.7k after 10 hours of UP/down/down/down/UP/down/down/down...

One of the crazier shoes was at bac. Player 63%, Banker 20% Tie 17% halfway through the shoe.
My buy-in was 2k and I started by throwing 1k onto player for almost every hand. Ended up with 10k midway through while everyone else was heavily betting banker and getting stomped. Final stats for the shoe ended up with Player at around 62%.

As I'm leaving table after table - I start noticing that the crowds are thinning out and open tables are getting scarcer... it's getting late.. (or early)

At some point - I realize it's already light out... and I'm exhausted. Looking at the nearby hotel options, I opt to head back into Philly... and head back into SugarHouse.

Get to SugarHouse and wander back into the HL room - play half a shoe of blackjack +1.1k and decide that it definitely is time to get some sleep.

Ask around for the nearest hotel - apparently there's a Hilton about 1.5 miles south.
Cash out and start walking down there...

Needless to say - not very clear-minded...

Just as I get there - I think to myself "actually - I could just go to AC and get the room for free"...
Fire up Google maps and check what the transportation options look like for getting there.
End up missing the Greyhound by about 2 minutes, and head over to the train station.
On the train to AC - ping my host, and get the room locked down.
Get to AC - walk to Caesars, grab the room, drop my stuff off, get refreshed and grab my free plays.
    First blackjack table +2k.
Then get stomped again for the next few tables - back to the same series of big ups followed by getting bled by 3-4 cuts.
Somehow managed to get to +10k for the trip and called it a night and slept for 5 hours.
Wake up around 5 AM Sunday, and get ready to go and hit the tables again.
Play a little asia aoker for +2k, and then back to blackjack where I proceed to donk off 17k at table after table after table after table of utter utter losers. Between Bally's and Caesars and around 5 separate tables I managed to torch 17k and am down 5k = wtf.
Take a walk down to Tropicana - HL.
    5k buy-in, starting with 500/hand - up/down/up/down - and suddenly I'm on a short run at 1k/hand.
End up with 12k after one hand loss - and am up 2k again.
Cash out - head back to Caesars.
Donk off 7k in 3 tables - FML.
    Head over to Bally's
5k buy-in, starting with 500/hand. up/down/up/down - and at some point I think I started tilting because I'm playing 2k a hand with 6k in chips... and losing.
Last 2k bet - Ace/Ace. (fuck, need to buy-in again) - pull out another 2k for the split.. 4,5.... FML.
    Dealer draws to a 6 card 22. +4k.
    Next hand : 2k , loser.
    Following hand : 2k win.
After that win - chips stayed on the table for 5 more hands. 7k in, 16k out.
    Up 4k for the trip.
Back to Caesars. Breathe again and try to slow play. Again, shit tables, 2k in, frittered away by a dozen cuts, 2k in, frittered away by another dozen cuts and back to even for the trip.
Go over to no-commission baccarat - buy in with a random wad of cash - turns out to be just under 4k. Up/down/up/down/down/down/down....
Down just under 4k, and take the remanants of the 10k wad over to one of the H17 blackjack tables just outside of the Caesars HL pit.
Start off again with 500-1000-ish on bets, and get to breakeven fairly quickly, but lots of treading water after that.
Seem to be pulling 21's out of my ass (16s are finding 5's, 15's finding 6's, etc) on the winning hands but I can't seem to stitch together a sustained run.
Eventually I'm frittered down to 5.5k in chips onhand.
Got tilted... 2.5k table max bet out, and subsequently win 6 in a row with a final blackjack.
After the blackjack - paying 3750 - I bet 50 intending on that to be tip for the dealers. Lose.
Dealer outwardly tells me "wtf kind of jedi trick is that?!"
Bet 100 intending on that to be tip for the dealers. Lose.
Tip 100 to the dealers for that blackjack saving me from losing 5k.
Go home up just over 10k for the trip.

Also - from the Total Rewards side - I generated 42k in tier credits after 2x 5k tc bonuses and 1x 10k tc bonus from the weekender action.

From Philly you should have went north 95 instead of South. Parx is a half hour north of Sugar house and much better than SH and Harrahs
