I'm a 5 hour flight. Vegas is my primary casino

THIS. This is exactly what kills me after leaving Vegas. I crave going back, even if I'm busted up from too little sleep and too much drink.

I'm in Vegas right now and starting to feel like that since today is our last day. I can't believe how long we wait for our Vegas trips and then once we're here it's over in a flash.

I know I'll be back. It's just a matter of exact dates. I've got a lot of stuff going on in May plus a non Vegas vacation in July. Need to figure out a good time to go without burning out plus not too disruptive to the project at work. At least we are at a phase where it will be super easy to build the vacation into the project plan. Such is the life of a consultant.

I always get this feeling. I love the drinking and gambling, but Vegas is just so much more to me than that. I love the strip, the buildings, the sunshine, the vibe. No matter how sore my body is and how empty my wallet/bank account has become, the flight home is always a sad one. The first few days home I don't usually feel it as I adjust back to normal life, but within a week, I miss the place like hell

We enjoy getting home. That doesn't mean we sit around toward the end just waiting, hoping for vacay to be over, but when it is we love getting back to our little world.

The drive home can be tiring and home and the reality of my-our everyday lives is quite removed from the Casinos.
I usually have another trip already planned so very little sadness on departure.
Same with all our vacations or get aways.

It takes about 2 days back home for the depression to kick in. Like others have said having another trip booked/planned helps ease the symptoms. That's the great thing about boards like this you can follow along with other people's hi-jinx and almost feel like you are there.

Man, that drive now just SUCKS for us. But it's more than worth the tradeoff to be out of the So Cal mania and the Inland Empire.

+1 on always having multiple getaways on the books. That is the best medicine possible. (I just added a Puget Sound golf junket come July!)

Definitely. My Post Vegas Malaise starts to set in the morning of check out.

Like Danny O said - it's the whole Vegas experience that I miss. The suspension of reality. Not so much the gambling but the fact that I'm doing awesome things for 4-7 days and completely disconnected from the daily grind.

To combat it I will usually immerse myself in work (sometimes this is involuntary because so much has piled up while gone) and get back into a normal routine.

After a couple days I'll begin a rough sketch of my next trip and the circle of Vegas begins again.
