So I returned from a great trip to Las Vegas this past Saturday. After a day or so of recovering I feel human again. But after only a couple days of work, I'm feeling the post Vegas depression. It's not even the gamble that I'm looking for as I could go to a pretty nice casino this weekend only a couple hours drive away. It's Vegas itself, the cocktail bars, the spa, the pool, the general energy in the air. All week I've been pretty "meh" with just about everything. Anyone else a fellow sufferer?

I frequently suffer from PVD. ;) Seriously though, after some recent weeks at work, I could sure use a trip, it's only been a few weeks and 2 more weeks seems like an eternity

For me it just depends on what kind of a trip it was. If it was a winning trip I want to get back on the plane the next weekend. An average trip that's close to even or a small loss I need a break. Those losing trips just make me want to get as drunk as I can and when I get home I really am just Vegas'd out. For me Vegas is not a relaxing holiday in the sense that I usually drink enough to kill a smaller man and get very little sleep.

I only get to go once a year, so regardless of how the trip has gone, I'm gutted to be heading home, and the hours at McCarran are the worst of the year.

I am miserable for a few weeks when I get home, but then I settle down, and start planning my trip for the following year,

Very valid points. It was far from a winning trip financially but all things considered it was a great trip. It must be good when you take a decent loss and still feel great. The gf and I are already scheming a July 4 trip. Though I've got a trip to Chicago in July. Gotta figure out how to manage it at work for the project schedule.

I don't think I ever have post Vegas depression. It's probably since I always have a couple trips n the books. I just came back from Vegas last weekend. I have a May, June and August trip booked.

I'm only depressed if I don't know when I'll return.
