Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the body of a woman found in a laundry chute at The D Las Vegas early Sunday.

Around 2:40 a.m., police received a call initially reporting a medical episode at downtown hotel-casino, 301 Fremont St., Metro spokesman officer Larry Hadfield said. The body was initially reported to have been found at the bottom of an elevator shaft, but Metro spokesman officer Michael Rodriguez confirmed it was at the bottom of a laundry chute.

Although the death has not been ruled a homicide, Metro's homicide section responded to the event to investigate, Hadfield said.

IMO opinion until they give a name and details, it is not a personal situation. Comedy is a good deflection of tragedy.

Once we no more, respect is given, in most situations.

Just good clean fun at this point.
