I know this has been asked a million times, but Im slow, so be patient with me. Staying at Aria, will gamble some at other MGM properties (mainly MGM). It makes no difference that I am playing at a property other than Aria, as long as it is a MGM property, correct? This is purely a comp question.

I think there might be people here with more inside know how than me.

But what I understood is that the MGM casinos work a little more for their own business compared to i.e. TR casinos.

The general parameters like where you can collect tier points and where you can use express comps etc. are combined, but when it comes to comp offers I see a clear difference to where you have earned the points.

I get much better offers at the properties I have gambled most in the past compared to the ones I usually ignore.

Probably the more you gamble this might getting a smaller difference, as every casino is interested in getting high rollers in. But with the relative small gambling budget I have they seem to take into account if you spend money already at their place or not.

your Aria host will only get credit for play at Aria.

so if you gamble mostly at other properties, you're not helping him out any.

if you play at MGM, your MGM host will get credit for that play.

that said, they still look at your play across all Mlife properties to determine comps for that trip.

but if you make a habit of doing a lot of play at other properties, your host at Aria won't like you very much and that can result in long term issues.

That's what I needed to know......we are going to Ka on Tuesday, so I will simply make a point to do my play at Aria before we head over as opposed to playing at MGM. It all works out for the best anyways........I know you guys LOVE the mansion, but for some reason I don't really care for it. Thanks for the answer.

Its almost like you are at different properties with mgm. The only common ground is the cards system and being able to sign back to your room at another mgm prop.

    Have fun

What about if you go through a regional host?? I use one out of Biloxi and he has been very good with me and can book at any Mlife property. I'm assuming he gets credit for all my play in vegas no matter where i play as long as its Mlife??

I have been using a regional host who actually encouraged me to play at multiple properties.
He actually reactivated my LOC at Bellagio while I was staying somewhere else.
He claims MGM has been pushing Marketing to operate more like CET.
Not sure if it works like that with inside hosts yet or not.

Not sure if I get treated better or worse.
I started using him when my Aria host left.Think I may have been shorted a little on last trip.

From what i have found, you have to ask for exactly what you want up front. If you want Food And Beverage etc, ask for what you think you will need and the room type you want and he has always accommodated me but asking at the end may be a bit more difficult
