I don't know that shutting it down makes you a pussy, but I agree with keeping it rolling.

You got stuck big and fought all the way back to being up a few K. Take a break, go buy the wife something nice, and hit the reset button on the trip. Stick to $5k a day to play with and see how it goes. Worst case scenario, with 2 days left you'll be down 8k, which is still great compared to being stuck 50k at one point.

Two more nights till you leave and you won’t be playing bac?! THAT would be epic. haha

Gamblers are notorious for taking outcomes for granted.
Bac players know discipline is our key to survival. During any session, getting stuck can easily come and then wanting to chase means pressing and playing more aggressively than our normal. You were in such a danger zone and you know got very lucky.

Mindfulness

Your risk tolerance just got desensitized during that BIG comeback. Your discipline is now at higher risk due to increased bet sizing during the comeback. It would be hard to enjoy smaller bets now (”I could have won more if I bet bigger”) when you were just betting much bigger to make that comeback.

Like you said, winning a few k now wouldn’t make you that much happier but if you got stuck a few k, floodgates can open again! And who knows what may happen after that. Lady luck bailed you out this time; maybe let her rest a bit?

If you’re going to play a bit more, reset your mind by distancing the emotions of that epic session. Reset your emotions, expectations, back to normal bet sizing, calmness, patience… one thing that works well is playing really small for a bit so your brain forgets those high risks and larger bet sizing you took for the comeback. Then you’ll be ready for your normal play again.
