    Trips to Vegas:
    30
Inspired by the recent epic "Semi-Live" trip reports by Tbone3336, Packer and PPHold/NateDogg666 and others, I will try to continue this string over the Final Four/Championship weekend. So I'll post LOTS of pictures, and I'll do my best to respond to other member's posts as the trip progresses.

I will NOT be organizing any wild parties beforehand for this trip (but if a party happens to breaks out, then so be it!). As you can imagine, it takes a lot of time to organize a party with strangers who are coming as guests and as the entertainment. A lot of time goes into all the back-and-forth communication needed to make sure everyone gets together at the same time and at the same place. Since I won't have to do that on this trip, I should have plenty of time to post more frequently and include more details as the trip evolves.

Now, I think we can all agree that going to Vegas should be all about HAVING FUN, whether you win or lose!!! (except for Shifter, who only has fun if he is winning lots of money, which I have to admit IS a LOT of fun). In that spirit, here is my FUN list of things to do, ala PPHold. As you can see, many are inspired by recent VMB threads that not only entertained me but that actually made me laugh out loud. (I'll post this list in parts based on theme, so that people don't have to re-quote a giant super-long post when asking questions or making comments).

    Overall plans for Vegas trip:
    1. No organizing of large parties, so I can relax, hang out, and spend time on this Semi-Live TR.
    2. Play in the CET $150K Poker Tournament at Harrah's on Apr 4th and 5th. My buddy Pleepleus is also entered so this will be a lot of fun. This will be my first Poker tournament in this type of format, so I will need some coaching on the best strategies and tactics. Should I play tight, tight, tight until the very end? Should I swing for the fences early? Should I act like an idiot to throw off the other players? Should I create "false tells" like picking my nose, to sucker people on a bluff? NateDogg, I could use your advice here, since you have won several of these things. Note: I am booked at Planet Hollywood for the weekend on a $250 gaming voucher offer, but my host asked and received permission to "double-book" me for the Poker tournament. Another example of why it is a good thing to tip your hosts.
    3. Upon arrival, lock up all valuables in the room safe....especially the cucumbers!
    4. Of course at the end of the stay, leave the safe LOCKED....with a condomed cucumber inside! (Karma will catch up to me someday for doing this, but I can't help myself, this one makes me laugh just thinking about it!)

    Other events planned:
    5. Attend April 4th VMB Meet and Greet organized by captainron62 at the TAG bar 2pm in the Linq, but this willl depend on whether or not I bust out of the poker tourney early.
    6. Bet on and watch Final Four and Championship games, perhaps with UKFanatic?
    7. Eat at new restaurant Searsuckers at Caesar's for dinner on Saturday night with PleePleus and the girls. Buy the girls some caviar, hehehehe.... anyone know why I'm chuckling?
    8. Visit SLS, Cromwell and Downtown (probably not on this trip).

Gambling plans: Lots of fun things to try.
    9. Test the Martingale vs Progressive betting strategies at Baccarat (Single zero roulette has a minimum of $100, so too high as a starting point). For the Martingale, start with $3200 bankroll and betting 25-50-100-200-400-800-1600. Play until I lose the $1600 bet, and see how much I have left. For the Progressive betting, bet 25-25-50-75-100-150-225-325-500-750-1000-1500-2250-3250 etc I will stop when I hit a 225 bet (which is seven wins in a row), even if I lose the next 325 bet, and see how much I have left. Of course, if the 325 bet is a winner, then keep betting the Progression until I lose a bet, and then stop and count my money.
    10. Play Cleo II with Pleepleus and the $320 I have left over from the last group sluts pull (or should I spend that money on a different kind of "sluts pull"?). Will try to record Cleo II in action! Come on Scatter!

There was a thread "Uneducated Table Players" started by Makikiboy. In this thread, on the topic of taboo words spoken at a craps game, Klawrey wrote, "If she is hot, she can say whatever she damn well pleases"). So....
    11. At craps, get a super-hot girl to yell out "Seven!" with every roll, and every time a seven shows up, give her a $5 chip. Of course, I will be way over on the other side of the table, betting the Dont's!
    12. Mutter "Seven" under my breath with each craps roll, and record how often the seven actually comes up. Shifter will bet anyone (especially Landshark) a million dollars that it will be close to 1 out of 6 rolls. If I have time,
    13. Play 3:2 Blackjack, DAS, RSA, surrender, using basic strategy.
    14. Play Videopoker (probably won't get to this).

Can't find the thread with this discussion but....
    15. Bet the opposite of people who look "unlucky" or who look like losers! Nate says this is accepted practice in Macau. This is my personal favorite new thing that I learned recently from the VMB. Thanks NateDogg for the education and the laugh!

    Seriously:
    16. Are there any Dice setters out there who want to roll the bones while I'm betting? (I'm being serious here, please PM me.)

    19. Renew membership in the Limo Club (see #23 below)
    20. Join Hi-Roller Club, per PPHold's suggestion of going very early in the morning in order to get a private cabin. Bring along cucumbers.
    21. Visit the Erotic Heritage Museum (probabaly not this trip)
    22. Visit an AMP for a happy ending (probably not this trip)

    The Girls
    23. Meet up with K (22 yo) at the airport for the limo ride to the Cosmo (see #19 above), and with C (23 yo) and B (22 yo) later in the trip.
(From the thread "Legal or Illegal", started by Art Vandelay)
    24. Ask real hookers how much they charge for a Dutch Rudder, and report back to the VMB whether or not they knew, and if so, how much they charge. This will be done discreetly, of course. No need to end up in jail, like Frank67.

Finally, I've learned the rules for posting pictures for Twitter. They only prohibit pornographic pictures for avatars and the background, but they don't care if you post porno on their site! So...
    25. Set a record for posting the most topless pictures in a VMB thread (via my Twitter account, of course.) A riddle: What's better that Double Dutch Rudders? Answer: Double Dutch Udders!
WARNING: Not safe for work! Do not click if you are easily offended by.....well, udders!

Hi Mike, Yeah....leave the used cucumbers in the safe!

What about caviar? Can you have caviar?

Here is one reason I am coming out this weekend and not the following weekend. Yup, my Cosmo promo chips went from $2350 to $0. So this trip is like getting free airfare for me and K.

Flight was delayed about 2 hours, but will still meet K at Mccaran for limo ride.
Need to freshen up, but in the airplane lavatory would not easy, so might wait until I land and use bathroom at Mccaran.

Had a solid nap of 4 hours,

K is waiting for me at Mccaran! Very excited to see her in an hour. Very impressed with Fly-Fi, it is working much better than the crappy Logan wifi. Now is the perfect time to take vitamin V.

After some great sex, we went down to the casino to play some craps. Only stayed about an hour before jet lag set in.
I bought in for 10k, the first picture. As you can see, I was betting Pass. This was because the dealer said the table was pretty good. Sure enough, the guy who was rolling hit his point, a 10, so we joined in. They let K roll, then me roll, something about its ok to have two shooters on one bankroll. Anyway, K did well! She rolled three times and made at least two points each time she rolled, and lots of numbers in between. She did better than I did, although she did blow on the dice whe I rolled. The second picture shows my marker for 10k in the back rail, and my winnings in the front. I ended up about 1700 for the session. Of note, the 12 in the Field is now Pay Triple, as reported by JB of Mn on this board. But only one 12 came up the entire session and no one was on the Field to take advantage. We then went upstairs to sleep, but not before taking advantage of the last legs of vitamin V!

Here are my 2350 in promo chips, good fit one time use. I asked really nice and respectfully, if I could get as many 100 chips as I could, instead of 500 chips. The nice cage person gave me only 2 chips of 500 and 13 of the 100 chips.
Now I'm going to go down and put the the 100 chips on the hard ways. If I hit twice, I will already exceed the expected value of the 1175 for these chips. Actually, if I hit once, I could then wash the 2 chips of 500, and still exceed the 1175 value. Wish me luck, and lots of hard ways! Thanks Neuroboy for coming up with this strategy!

Eating at Milos with Pleepleus, having the lamb chops. Sorry, I started munching on one before I remembered to take a picture. The Milos lunch at the Cosmo is a real bargain, as others have mentioned. I always get the octopus salad as the starter, then either the lamp chops or the lobster pasta. The lamb chops are delicious, and they sprinkle crushed rock salt on them, to give a nice salty crunch, which I like. The lobster pasta has real chunks of sweet lobster, and is delicious. For dessert, I had the organic yogurt.

We sat outside in their patio area. This time of year, it was perfect. But I have eaten there during the hotter months and it is way too hot. Also, sometime you can hear the street performers, and I remember one time there was this obnoxious bag piper who kept playing Amazing Grace over and over and over....

Fish heads, fish heads, roly poly fish heads.
Fish heads, fish heads, eat them up, yum!

I took this picture because Milos flies in their fish daily from the Mediterranean, so you will get authentic Mediterranean fish. But they are expensive, at $50 to $90 per pound!! I once had a 2.5 lb fish there that cost me $240! No fish is worth that, good thing it was comped.

So as you can see, I hit the dreaded 7 losses a row early in the 3rd shoe. At this point, I was up about 1675, so when I lost on the 7 streak I was the down about 1450 overall. I then did something really stupid which was to increase my bets, and during the 12 player streak, I was betting 100 per hand. Since I started this as a Martingale, it was hard to change to Progression betting, especially since I was playing from behind. Anyway, I managed to eek out a 450 overall win after this third shoe, and got the hell out of Dodge!!!!!

I had 275 play vouchers with Caesar's, which I turned into 225. These were multiuse, so I did a little bit worse than expected.

Went to Cosmo to gamble with Sailboat and Pleepleus. Had a great time showing Sailboat how to play using the 100 and 300 system covering 2/3 of the table. We matched bets for most of the time but Sailboat then pressed all the way to 2000 and 6000, and won! Had great fun watching the ball roll in and out of Numbers. Net was he won about 4K, and I won 50 (hey, a win is a win!). He also was trying to get them to increase his BJ limit above 10k per hand but this was not happening.

Met up with UCLAgirl who came to the Cosmo. She, Pleepleus, Sailboat and I went up to my Wraparound Terrace suite so UCLAGirl could take a look at it, since she had not been in one before. And of course, her cucumber was in the safe! She held her cucumber, and gave it the Dutch Rudder, with a twist of monkey!
So one of the items was checked off my To-Do list. She was a great sport about it!

Well.....we ordered the "Cowboy Caviar," and UCLAGIRL is a trooper, she said they were pretty good! We all enjoyed a taste, and they were pretty tasty. The Cowboy Caviar is bull testicles, sliced thin, and then battered and deep fried. It had the texture of any sweet meats like thymus etc.
And it goes to show you that ANYTHING that is battered and deep fried can be tasty.

The main courses. The duck. This was bland, it needed a wine reduction sauce or something. There was not "gamy duck" flavor at all, it might as well have been chicken. We let the waitstaff know that this dish was lacking in flavor, for what it's worth.

Had some friends come over to Sailboat's suite and we had a great time shooting pool and learning that C was taught by her dad to shoot, so she was pretty good, and knew get way around the table. She handily beat K. Pleepeus then took on the C, and as soon as he started handling the stick you could tell he was a shark! He was popping the cue ball with AUTHORITY, and barely beat C. Then it was my turn to play Plee. I had not shot pool for over 20 years, so I was rusty at first and Plee got out to an early lead in the game stripes and solids. But I got on a lucky streak and after some miraculous shots fell, I won!

Then Sailboat and I shot, and we decided to wager $5, but decide this was too low, so we increased it to $100, which at least got the girl's attention. We shot 9 ball, where the object of the game is to hit the balls in ascending order of numbers, and whoever pockets the 9 ball wins, even if the opponent sank the other 8 balls.

We had a great game, and in the end, Sailboat had a moderately difficult but makeable shot to sink the 9 ball for the victory but he missed, and worse the cue ball ended up perfectly aligned for an easy corner pocket shot. I lined up the shot, checked my breathing pattern, slowed my heart rate to exactly 50 beats per minute using Jedi mind control, blinked once, then calmly struck the cue ball gently to guide it along the path to certain victory. The cue ball rolled slowly towards the 9 ball, struck it perfectly in alignment, and then the 9 ball rolled forward to its destined meeting with the bottom of the corner pocket. Thud! What a beautiful sound! An audible grown came from Sailboat, and a Yip of elation started in my throat but ALAS! Defeat rose up and snatched sweet dear victory and 100 from my grasp. Can anyone guess what happened?

Let Sailboat's pad about 12:30am, since I had the poker tournament at 11 AM the next day. K offered to help me relax before I go to sleep, and I accepted!

Woke up in the morning and left K sleeping, to go down and play some craps.
Then got killed at craps playing Pass line, 10 consecutive Don'ts with 4 straight point seven outs. Hope all the bad luck has been used up for this morning. Overall for trip down 5k. Going to eat before poker tournament at 11am.

Some pictures of Caesar's Palace from last night.
("Did Caesar really live here?") See those two little kids in the lower right of the picture, near the fountain?
As I walked by, I entertained the thought of offering them $20 each if they jumped in to the pool, but then thought better of it, LOL!

Followed this lady as far as I could without going off course towards Harrah's. Hmmm... amateur, or pro?

Busted out earlier. Got beat with Ace 5 by Ace 7 for half my stack, then didn't play another hand because I got crap, until I got a K 8, and since blinds were going up to 200 and 400, I went all in before the flop. The same guy called me with another A 7, and won. Oh well, now I have the rest of the day to gamble and relax with K. Thanks for all the good wishes from everyone!

The Spice Market Buffet a Planet Hollywood is located downstairs. It cost $75 for two without tip, and without any drinks. The place is on the darker side, especially compared with the Wicked spoon at the Cosmo. Overall I thought the food was tasty and there is a wide variety, but it is not on par with Wicked Spoon, but it is not bad, and the service was very attentive. Here are some food pics.

Pleepleus, Sailboat and I put in 500 each into Cleo II at the high limit lounge at the Cosmo.
Sailboat and I NEVER play the slots, so being slot virgins, of course this is what happened:

Gambled some more with Sailboat and Pleepleus, some Blackjack and some single zero roulette at the Cosmos Hi-limit lounge.
At roulette, hit win streaks of 9 and 6, and with pressing was able to win 4K! Of note, no zero has shown up yet this trip.
