    Trips to Vegas:
    30
TR: Cosmopolitan, Planet Hollywood, Hard Rock, Caesars 10/30-11/3/2014 Halloween!

Location: Cosmopolitan Wrap-Around Terrace Suite as main base, with trips to Planet Hollywood, Hard Rock Hotel, Paris and Caesars.

This would be a weird trip, since I was "hosting" my sisters and their husbands and some of their friends. They would pay for their own way using my discounted rate for housing, limo service etc, but the casinos required that I actually be there to make this happen. In addition, I could facilitate cutting lines at the buffet etc.

But most importantly, as a Vegas degenerate, how could I turn down a “legitimate” reason to make a trip back to paradise?

Unfortunately, I needed to be on good behavior this trip, since I would never hear the end of it if my sisters found out that I enjoy the intimate company of young ladies, as they would tell on me to my mom in a heartbeat (just like bshowell!) So I was mostly planning on gambling and eating this trip, with no plans for hot tub parties or other shenanigans. (But you know what they say about the best LAID plans of mice and men…)

I didn’t feel I could get away with doing a Live TR this time without having to eventually explain to my sisters/husband what I was doing on the smart phone all the time.

Instead, I'll try to simulate a Live TR, by posting on a daily basis as if I were in Vegas.

Group: Me, my two sisters and their husbands and friends

Standard preparations: making sure my bankroll was ready to go! Also I packed all of my Casino cards.

Special preparation for this trip: Unfortunately no cucumbers on this trip...it would have been very awkward to explain if discovered.

But I did purchase TWO wristbands, and although I didn't plan on shenanigans, I brought them along just in case...(Any guesses why I wanted a pair of them?)

    Yes, it is Lucky 777!

In flight. Usually I just sleep but for some reason I'm buzzing a bit so I watch some TV. I also have $500 on the Cavaliers tonight as part of a parlay, and as a basketball fan I am excited to see him and Kevin love play together. Fortunately the game is on inflight TV. My cousin texted just before take off "Go Cavs!"

Well at least I got to watch some entertaining shows on TV.

Just landed. It's Thursday Oct 30th at 10:30pm. We are early but have to wait on the Tarmac so the other plane can leave the gate. My cousin had texted while I was in flight "Go Cavs!" then "Cavs up by 9 first quarter!" and then a final one "Cavs suck!" Made me laugh because he was the one who was so sure they would win.

Some bad pictures of the Strip from my seat.

I was met by not one but two "VIP" hosts when I exited the limo. After tipping the driver $20, we went to the autograph lounge and they had already checked me in. No need to wait in a long line like these folks.

So after unpacking and gathering everyone into the Wraparound to ooh and ahh at the view, we all headed down to take a tour of the Cosmo.

Ok, ditched the siblings who are now off wandering the strip.
It's Friday 1am, the PERFECT time to be in Vegas! Let the games begin!

I start out with craps. My strategy this trip is to play the Don'ts and to play the Iron Cross after a 7 out for just one roll at a high bet, then immediately reduce the bet size. I am hoping for long rolls, whether or not the point is made. Quick points or lots of back to back sevens will kill this strategy.

    Here we go.....

I take out a $10,000 marker, $3000 in black hundreds and the rest in $500 purples.
You must be a registered user with confirmed email address to view this content.

I wait for the current shooter to 7 out (they always do...) Then I make my first bet, 1200 on the 6, 1200 on the 8, and 700 on the field, and 100 on Don't Pass. I make sure to tell the dealer that all my place bets are working on the come out roll. If a seven comes, I'd be down 3200, Just like that. The shooter picks up the dice, I take a deep breath, he lets the dice go, here they come, they hit the back stop and start to tumble forward and it's a......9!!!!! I let out a whoop and collect my 700 winnings from the field. I tell the dealer to reduce my place 6 and 8 bets to 300 each and I put 175 on the field and 600 odds on the Don't Pass line to back my 100 bet. Now, I have a "free" bet on the Don't Pass and I have 775 out on the table in other bets. After a few more numbers, the shooter hits the 9, so I lose the Don't and overall am down a couple of hundred. And so it went, back and forth, but eventually I pull a head a little and then a little more and. At the peak I'm up maybe 2000.

As you can see, I am converting purple chips on the back rack, which had my original marker stake, into black chips as I change them for black chips. Finally, after 3hrs and 15 min, I am starting to slide backwards so I pay off my marker and leave the table with 775 in chips.

So now what should I do? It's Friday early about 4am and I'm jet lagged and tired and I should go to sleep......but......I'm in VEGAS!!!!!! So I find the single zero roulette table in the high limit area, not the Talon room. The minimum is $100 bet. I bet 3 units on the 1-18 or 19-36, and 1 unit to cover another section of six numbers. This way I cover 2/3rds of the table (excluding the zero). If the zero hits, I lose the 1 unit and half of the 3 units on the high or low outside bet. This works out to a house edge of 1.6875%.
Basically I am betting 4 units to win 2 units, and I should win 2 out of 3 spins. If I lose, I triple my bet and hope I don't lose twice in a row. If I lose again, I will triple up again, so now at 9 and 27 units. Fortunately, never had to chase this time beyond tripling the first time. I play for about 40 min and leave with 3100!!!

Ok, it's now about 5am on Friday and I am exhausted. But when I walk out of the high roller area, I look toward the craps table and I see this:

Now I gotta play here, don't I? So I take my 3100 in chips and sign back in to play, sleep be damned.
But this time I end up losing 1225 back to the house, despite being up a couple of thousand a one point

    Avg bet 900. Time 1hr 50min. Theo 800. -1225, trip +2650

So now off to sleep, it's almost Friday, 7am.

Friday 11:30am I had slept for 4 hrs, and felt mildly refreshed after a shower but still tired. I was also hungry. The sisters/hubbies etc. went off to visit the Hoover dam and then Red Rock canyon.
I didn't go since I've already seen Universal Soldier and Transformers, so I feel like I've already seen Hoover dam. As for seeing canyons, I'm more interested in meeting Christy Canyon.

I plan to eat quickly at Wicked Spoon, before heading to the Hard Rock. As I am in the elevator going down a young guy asks me "How long did you play last night?" Apparently he was at the craps table at 5am but left at 6am. He said he was amazed at how much I was betting. We talked about the hot blonde at the table and I showed him the picture of her rear. Turns out he was from Hawaii and was living in Utah for the past two years and was with a group out in Vegas to celebrate someone's Bday. The whole group was there in the elevator and we're going to Wicked Spoon, so we all walk there together.

There is a long line at Wicked Spoon.

At this point I am up 2500 or so, I know I will be getting comps, and I know my own group will be eating at the Hard Rock tonight at 35 Steak and Martinis and tomorrow at Gordin Ramsays at Paris. So I'm not expecting too much of a food bill at the Cosmo this trip. So I ask these guys, who have been very friendly and polite to me, if they want to see a magic trick? They said sure. So I invite them all into the Platinum line and we bypas the main line: I had made the line disappear! How's that for a magic trick? I asked. Awesome! was their reply. I also asked if I could treat them to brunch on honor of the Bday guest. They were floored at my generosity and I had to explain that I needed to use up my comps anyway, and that they could pay it forward later in their lives when they have the means. We had a great lunch together and I enjoyed giving them a special "only in Vegas" treat that I'm sure helped to hook them on Vegas even more.

Friday Oct 31st, noon I head over to the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. There is a long line for the taxi, so I ask for a limo, charge to my room and gave my host's name, very easily and quick. My host at the Hard Rock has arranged to comp dinner at 35 Steaks and Martinis, and VIP passes for everyone to the Fetish and Fantasy Ball later that evening. In exchange, I agreed to do some drop-in play, so I wanted to get started. I figured I had about 2 hours before meeting up with PPHold, who was only going to be in town for 8 hours...what a degenerate LOL!

I took out a $25,000 marker in the Peacock lounge at the baccarat table. I play a negative progression betting only on the Player, starting at $100, then $200, $400, $800, $1600, $3200, $6400 etc.
(The highest I have ever gone is $12,800, which I lost, and that was at the Aria.) The table limit was $10,000. but they had a sign that said the total bet from the table was $30,000. Anyway, I was not going to challenge those limits at this session.

So I was able to win early but gave it all back and then some when the streak of 6 bankers showed up. But the second shoe had no long banker streaks so it was better, and I eventually stopped with $1200 in chips.

    Avg bet 400 Time 1 hr 45 min Theo 500 +1200, trip +3850

Before leaving the Hard Rock, I took these pictures of the new KISS layouts on a couple of craps tables for Sindustry. The chips are not out yet.

Friday 2pm Just got a call from PPHold and so I call the limo driver to come get me at the Hard Rock to bring me back to the Cosmo where I will meet PPHold in the high limit area. I am looking forward to it and to gambling with him and sharing stories that are not PG-13 about some adventures in Vegas.

Met up with PPHold in the high-limit area at the Cosmo. We hit it off right away! We swap stories for about 15 minutes, and it's like talking to a brother from another mother. I explain to him that I have to be on best behavior this trip because of my sisters/husbands, so I had no parties planned.
Otherwise, he said he would have considered staying in Vegas longer.

We decide to play some roulette, so we head over to the single zero wheel.
Juan is the dealer, and is a great guy who knows how to really play roulette and he was the one who commented that I could bet 3 units to cover the 1-18 or 19-36, and then 1 unit to cover another 6 numbers to cover 24 numbers total, instead of just betting the columns or dozens. Playing this way reduces the house edge from 2.7% to 1.6875%, for the exact same payout.

I take out a $10K marker, and I start betting this way, and showing pphold. We do well for the first 15 spins or so, and I am up about $2500, since I win 2 units with each winning spin, and the units are $100. When there was a losing spin, I tripled up, and I won, making back my money lost on the previous spin, plus what I would have won as well.

Juan mentioned that being up a couple of thousand in about 15 minutes was pretty good, but we ignored him. I guess I wanted very much to "impress" pphold, since I love his TRs and his posts on the VMB, so I wanted to win big with him right there. Lesson learned (again!): NEVER, EVER let anyone (hosts, girls, family, new friends etc) influence your gambling. EVER.

    So I lose (100 + 300), and I triple up (300 + 900) and lose.
So I triple up again (900 +2700), and lose. So I am down 5200 from this series. OUCH!

But I still have some 7500 in chips left, so I continue to play, but start over at the 100 + 300 level. I win once, but then I lose again. I triple up (300+900), and lose AGAIN I sweat but decide to go for it, and I triple up once more (900 + 2700). And lose. DOUBLE OUCH!

Now, I am down to about 2500 So I start over at (100+300) level I win once, and then I lose, so now at about 1800. I put this all in: 450 + 1350, and.....I LOSE.

So I lost 8 bets out of 14 spins, in a game where I should win 2 out of 3 spins. I lost the entire $10,000 marker in 35 minutes. Worse, I certainly made a different kind of impression on PPHold than I had wanted.

    Avg bet 1400, Time 35 min Theo 870, -10,000, trip -6,150

    Friday Oct 31st, 3pm
I am a bit shell shocked that I just lost $10,000 at roulette. I rationalize that it was just bad luck, that there were 2 back-to-back triple losses in a row, and another double loss, all within 12 to 14 spins. I am also kicking myself for trying to "show-off", even though I would probably have bet the same way even if pphold wasn't there.

It takes all the discipline I have to NOT ask for another $10K marker, because I am SURE, absolutely SURE, that the losing streak just can't continue. (Sound familiar to any of you?)

PPHold had been in touch with Pleepleus, who shows up just after the final loss. He is also a very nice guy! We all chat for a few minutes, they make plans to pay off markers or pick up free play etc. I am pissed inside, even though outwardly I say all the right sociable things like "Oh well, it's only a game" and "Win some, lose some", and "Its only money" etc.

Then I get a call from M, a girl I had seen on the last couple of trips. Since I had no shenanigans planned, I had not bothered to call anyone ahead of time this trip, nor did I have any plans. But M calls out of the blue to just say Hi and ask when the next time I would be around in Vegas. I share this information with PPHold and Pleepleus.

Pphold, being the nice guy that he is, says "Hey, why don't you take my Caesar's room key, I'm certainly not going to use it". He must have felt sorry for me.

So....I did have about 3 hours before the clan would return from their desert safari, and I wasn't going to gamble any more since I just lost $10,000.

I took the Caesar's room key and room number, and debated whether or not to call back M.

    Friday Oct 31 3:10pm
Pphold and Pleepleus go off on their errands. The Caesar's room key is in my hand, my phone is on the other. I think it through and decide the following. If M can meet me at Caesar's before the safari tour returns, then I'll go for it. After all, I did bring my two wristbands along. But if she couldn't make it in that time frame then so be it. Any guesses why I wanted TWO wristbands? Hint: not because of unlisted numbers!

    Friday Oct 31 3:15pm
I call back M. She can be at Caesar's by 4pm!

I go back to my room to get ready. Caesar's is a good 10 to 15 min walk from the West tower of the Cosmo.
I pick up the two wristbands. I prepare an envelope with M's college donation (did I forget to mention that M was a college student?) I take vitamin V. I pick up condoms.

Then I walk over to Caesar's to get there early so I can shower in the suite before.

    Fri Oct 31 3:50pm
I finally arrive at Caesars Palace and I have to walk a mile from the main lobby to the Palace towers. I've never stayed there before so it seems even longer. I get to the room, and insert the key. Red light, does not open.

I'm think Oh crap, now what?

But I turn the key over and try it again, and the door opens. Whew!

I take a quick shower, and then M texts me that she is at Caesar's in the lobby and on her way to the room.

    YES!!!!!

Friday Oct 31, 8pm Dinner at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino at 35 Streak and Martinis.

I've eaten here twice in the past 2 years and have always had a great steak.

Friday Oct 31 10:15pm Ready to play some craps at the Hard Rock.

I figure I had the worst streak of luck early this afternoon with pphold, losing 8 times out of 12 or so, when I should have won 2 out of 3. This can't continue, can it?

So I take out a $25,000 marker at the craps table, and immediately put down 1200 on the six, 1200 on the seven, and 700 on the field, and 200 on the Don't pass. Basically doubling up on my stakes. The shooter take the dice, winds up and throws.....7! AWWWWW!!!! Down $3200, just like that.

So I just replace the $200 on the Don't, and the shooter sets a number, the 6. I put $1200 odds, and the very next roll is a.....6! Mother of pearl!
    Down $4400 at this point.

So I put $200 on the Pass Line, and the shooter rolls a 7. Ok, I win the $200, BUT I am thinking, there is no way he can repeat that 7, can he, since we just had a double 7? I put down $2400 on the eight and $2400 on the eight, and $1400 on the field. I am hyperventilating but this is what I came to Vegas to do: to GAMBOL! The shooter picks up the dice, I take a deep breath....he drops them and plays around with them. I'm thinking "You idiot! It doesn't matter! Just throw the damn things!" He picks them up again....here they come.... a 7!!!!!! AARRGGHH!!!!!!!!

Down another $6200!!!! Now I am down $10,400 in like 4 rolls.

He can't do it again can he? Roll another 7? I put a big bet out there again, and.... another 7!

    .

I finally call it quits, down $14,000 after only 15 minutes. (I think I played a few more rolls at lower bets, to try to see if I could hit a win streak, but nothing doing).

Friday Oct 31, 10:30pm Hard Rock Hotel and Casino

I walk around with the rest of my chips for about 15 minutes, watching all the costumed patrons walking around. It was a lot of fun to see, and I included some of the pics earlier. But I was down $20,000 for the trip!

    So I try baccarat.

I play for half an hour, and I go up $2000, and I should have just quit then, to lock in the win. But I swing for the fences, to try to win back a big chunk of the $20000 that I am down. Alas, didn't happen. The good news was that I only swung for the fences with the $2000 that I was up, so the net was 0.

Friday October 31st The group had gone into the Fetish and Fantasy ball and after an hour came out having seen enough. I had not joined them because .....well, why would I want to look at people playing dress up and pretending to be naughty, when I don't have to pretend?

We head back to the Cosmo and decide to wander the Strip.

Here are some pictures. Halloween is a great time to be in Vegas.

Saturday Nov 1, 1am Cosmopolitan We split up, with most of the group staying at the Bellagio to have a drink, and I go back to the Cosmo. I should have gone to sleep, but I take out a $10,000 marker at the craps table.

I play for 3 hours, and win $300.
OK, at least I didn't drop a bundle in 15 min.

I should go to sleep, but I wander over to the Baccarat table. I am finally going to play my 900 in one-time use promo chips

I turn them into $1675 in 22 minutes Slowly clawing my way out of the hole.

    Avg bet 150 Time 22 min Theo 40, +1675, trip -18175

    Sat Nov 1, 4:30am, Cosmo

I try my luck once again at the craps table. My memory is not very good here, but I took out a $10,000 marker and I essentially lose it in 27 minutes. Very similar to what happened at the HRH early that night.

    Avg bet 1600 Time 27 min, Theo 340, -9025, trip -27,200

    Time to sleep.....

    Saturday, Nov 1, 7:30am Cosmo

I sleep for about 2.5 to 3 hours, and can't sleep anymore, even though I am exhausted. I can feel the accumulated sleep deprivation, but I just can't sleep in Vegas!

I know I'm down $27,200 at this point, with a couple of bad beats/losing streaks yesterday. While I shower, I sift through all of this, as well as contemplate life in general, as well as ruminate on why the hell do I put myself in this position?, as well as remember my time with M yesterday....I tell myself a story with a happy ending, which makes me feel better, and finish the shower.

I head back down, somewhat refreshed, and hit the single-zero roulette table. I haven't played roulette since I lost $10,000 in front of pphold yesterday, so I wanted to see if my luck had changed.

I get a marker for $5000, and start out conservatively with $100 covering 6 numbers (called a double street bet, as I learned from wanker51) and $300 (1-18 or 19-36). Each time I win, I get $200. I win 4 straight bets, then I lose. Here we go: I triple up, now at $300 and $900 The croupier spins the wheel, then lets the ball go, each spinning in different directions. I'm standing up watching right over the wheel. This spin seems to be taking forever... The ball comes down, tick-tack-tick bounces around.... and I win! Whew! So I am now up $1000 (4 x $200 wins, then lose $400, then win $600 just now) This $1000 makes my overall loss for the trip -$26,200.

But I decide to swing for the fences!
I figure the wheel "owes" me some back-back wins, following a loss. So I let it ride with the $300 + $900. And I win again! Each spin now wins me 600, so now I am at +1600 for the session. I decide to let it ride until I lose....ride that horse until it dies! Win again! +2200 Win again! +2800 Win again! +3400 Win again! +4000

That's six wins in a row, and I decide not to press my luck, so I reduce my bet to $100 and $300.

I don't remember all the details, but I end up leaving the table with $5000.

    Avg bet 1000 Time 30 Theo 567, +5000, trip -22,200

    Sat Nov 1, 8AM Cosmo

I take the $5000 newly won chips and head to the baccarat table.

I play my negative progression scheme, $100 to $1600, betting only on Player. Unfortunately, I chicken out on one run of Banker that I would have won if I had the guts to put down the $1600, and then the second time around in a similar spot, I do bet the $1600, but I lose that bet.
How do the cards know which way I will bet?

Overall, a loss of $4400, so not quite all of the $5000 I brought to the table.

Now back to the craps table, with my favorite crew, the early morning Cosmo crew. I take a $5000 marker out and start conservatively at 300-300-175-50 on the 6-8-Field-Don't

I mostly just play the Don't, 50 with max odds.

The table is choppy, and I am not escalating my bets.

    End up losing 1300

Time to meet the group for brunch, at the Wicked Spoon, bypassing the long lines again.

    Avg bet 350 Time 60 Theo 180, -1300, trip -27,900

Sat Nov 1, 4 pm, Planet Hollywood

I took a 2 hour nap after brunch, so I am feeling better, but still tired (why am I always tired in Vegas?).

Walk over to Planet Hollywood, where I haven't played in over a year and a half. The walk is very easy, just out the second floor Cosmo exit, across the elevated walkway over Las Vegas Boulevard, down the escalator, and right into the Miracle Mile entrance that is next to the Pho sports book.

I meet up with my host, a terrific lady who has re-activated my credit line and helped me establish a credit line at the Paris, where I will be eating later in the evening at Gordon Ramsay's. I have an offer of 450 in free play and 2 High Roller tickets, as long as I get a room for 2 days. Just like pphold with his Caesar's room, I had no need to use it. And just like Hunter has said on this board, some of the CET hosts are "city-wide" hosts, so even though their office is physically located at one property, they can arrange for rooms at ANY of the other CET properties in Las Vegas.

I wanted to use the free play, and also to generate enough CET theo to "win" the dinner later that night.

Sat Nov 1, 4:15pm Planet Hollywood

Finished check in to my room at the PHo, and reactivated my credit line, and have 9 x $50 = $450 in freeplay The freeplay are pieces of paper, and they act just like regular chips, except they cannot be cashed in. So the true value of the CET free play is pretty close to $450. I note that the $950 in one-time use chips at the Cosmo is only worth half, so about $475, and the next time I return to the Cosmo, I like pleepleus's idea to play them at Freebet BJ, in order to get a multiplier effect.

I sit down at the baccarat table, and take out a $5000 marker, even though I have $450 in freeplay. My thinking is that I will start playing with real chips, so I can start the timer on gettng rated, and then throw in the free play when the Pit boss is not looking. Again, $100 to $1600 is my strategy, negative progression on the Player. I start to win, and then I use my free play, and I never have to dip into the $5K marker chips

I keep track of the very first hand of any shoe. Not that this is any thing special, I am not edge sorting like Phil Ivey or anything. It is just easy to remember "the first" hand, whether I lost it the last time or won it the last time.

I lost the first hand of the first shoe, but I ended up winning $1500 on that first shoe.

On the second shoe, I make a $1000 bet on the very first hand. I had remembered that I had lost 3 first-hand bets in a row, so I figured it was overdue for a Player win. Bam! Player wins! I win $1000. Now, I reduce my bet to $500 and win again. I increase my bet to $750 and win again. I had plans to increase my bet by 50%, until the streak ends. Unfortunately the next hand at $1000 was a Banker, so only three wins in a row. But still, I was ahead already in the shoe.

This is where I started to swing for the fences and I pressed, and started betting $200, $400, $800.... Alas, I hit a streak of 5, and lost most of the winnings, but had the discipline not to lose any of the original marker of 5K.

So on the third shoe, I started out exactly at zero wins, and had to start over. I lost the first hand for $500, so I started out down, but ended up winning $1100 before I had to leave for dinner preparations.

    Sat Nov 1, 8:30pm Paris

We walk over to the Paris to eat at Gordon Ramsay's Steak place Our reservations are at 8:30, and we get there in time, but they are still not ready for us.

I go over to the Cage/Credit area, there is a "secret" side door for Diamond players, which has no line, and I active my credit line. Then we are seated in the second floor in one of the back rooms that overlooks the casino floor. We are told we cannot open the French doors, because other patrons would complain of the smoke coming up from the casino.

The service is SSSLLLOOOWWW..... They come to ask if we want still or sparkling water. Then they bring the water. Then they come back to ask if anyone wants drinks. Then they bring the drinks. Then they come back with menus. Then they explain the menus. Then they bring the bread. Then they take our orders. We sat for a full hour before we even ordered!

Overall, the steaks were grisly, acknowledged by everyone in the group. I had a NY strip, medium rare, and it is not charred on the outside the way I usually like my steaks. The steak looks like it has been boiled, then put in the oven. Maybe just my bias since Gordon Ramsay is English. They unanimously thought the Hard Rock's 35 Steak and Martinis was much better, and I agree.

We tried the famous sticky toffee pudding desert. I liked it, but others thought it was good but did not live up to the hype.

    Overall, will not repeat.

    Sunday Nov 1, 8:30am, Cosmopolitan

Got to the craps table, there is only one open in 6 to 10am time slot. Greet my favorite crew, and ask for a 5000 marker.

I am at the end of the table closest to the escalators to the 2nd floor. To my right I notice a late-20 to early-30 yo guy, quiet, with a flashy diamond pinky ring and diamond band He is playing the Don't. Alright, I thought, my type of people.

I wait for the current shooter to seven-out (they always do...wait, have I been repeating myself?) Then I ask for 1200-1200-700-100 on the 6-8-Field-Don't, all working. Either I'm going to make a real dent in my losses, or I'm going down in flames. The shooter throws.... a 4! Up 700 Great number, since there are only 3 ways to make the 4, but 6 ways to make the 7. leave the 1200-1200-700 up for one more roll, and I add 600 as odds to my Don't bet. The roll is a...12! Wow, up another $1400! That's what I'm taking about.

I decrease my bet to 300-300-175 on the 6-8-Field, and so no matter what else happens on this roll, I will be up at least $700 The shooter proceeds to roll more and more numbers, and I collect $175 for each roll.

The shooter eventually 7's out, and I make another 400 on the Don't Pass. Now, I go back to 1200-1200-700 on the comeout roll, since I am betting that the 7's won't repeat. And they don't!

I remember the action as follows: no shooter hit more than one point before 7ing-out. I doubled up on my don't bet whenever a shooter made a point, and after the seven out, I went back to 100 on the Don't pass. There was only one back-to-back seven on the come out rolls. The table was COLD, and I keep winning on the Don't Pass line. My flashy buddy and I were chest bumping each time the 7-out came!

Here's a picture during this first roll, my original 5000 marker is in the bottom right of the picture.

On the last Cosmo craps session above, I hit another bad streak of rolls, I must have rolled eight 7's out of 12 rolls. I was watching my bankroll carefully, and I purposely made sure I only started with 3625 so that if I lost it all, which I did, I still would walk away with a $2000 win. This $2000 would be to cover all of my tips, football bets, and of course, college tuition contributions.

My final numbers for this trip at the Cosmo: Avg bet 850, time 21 hours, Theo 12650, win 15500 And I lost 10,800 at the Hard Rock and lost 3900 at the CET/PHo/Paris Net overall win: $2,000, total gambling time about 28 hours, out of 72 hours total in Vegas.

I might post some Odds and Ends later if I remember enough good stuff to share.

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed the ride!

Odd and Ends from the trip.

    1) Patriots win How do I feel about the Pats winning, and losing $500? I feel GREAT, and would gladly do it again, and hopefully have a chance to do so in the Superbowl. This was a huge win, and put the Pats in the driver's seat for the No. 1 seed in the AFC. As I walked by the Book and Stage area on Sunday, there were a lot more Broncos fans than Patriots fans, and at least one was very upset and being confrontational to Pats fans. Like it was their fault the Pats kept scoring on Denver.

    2) While playing roulette in the high limit area, a young 20's guy, about 5'4", Mediterranean looking but not overtly Arabic or Asian Indian (I have no bias, just trying to be accurate in my description) with a huge wad of cash, maybe $50,000, wandered over and starting throwing hundreds down and changing them into black chips. He was playing fast and furious, covering numbers etc. He was in his own world. He showed his lack of class by shouting across the room to friends at the bar area. He had no accent. He lost 3 spins in a row, and he then started berating the croupier, shouting at him things like "Fuck, you're giving me nothing!" Like the croupier has anything to do with how the numbers come up. There was a slinky young girl with him, who was only a 6-7 out of 10, in my book. I smiled at her while he was putting his chips down, and she smiled back at me. I was imagining how she would look in green....wristbands or cucumbers or both, she could take her pick.

When they left, the pit boss, croupier and I speculated on how he got his money. But more philosophically, they wondered out loud "how can people with all that money be so UNHAPPY?" Apparently, they see a lot of unhappy people playing single-zero roulette in Vegas. Something to ponder, there is something very important in that observation about money and unhappiness.

    3) At craps, there was an older guy (looked like a medium sized Ron Perlmann) who was betting the Don't and acting drunk and shouting at top of his lungs "Come on SEVEN!!!" He kept up a lively banter, acting like he didn't know what he was doing, but he always managed to get down the correct maximum odds on the table to back his Don't bet. And after 3 or 4 wins, he colored up and left, a winner. Clearly a savvy gambler playing the "game".

    4) A drunk British guy shows up at the craps table next to me when I am rolling about 8am He is about 30-40, inebriated, dark hair, has a light blue suit on with collared shirt but no tie. "I'll show you how to roll the dice!" he slurs to me. I look at him and imagine Gordon Ramsay. "Where's your money, are you going to bet? Because if you aren't going to bet, then you can't "roll the dice" and you can't tell ME how to roll the dice." And, I wanted to add but didn't, "You can't even make a decent steak, you arrogant bastard!"

    5) The biggest breasted cocktail waitresses are at the Hard Rock Hotel, hands down.

    6) I liked the Planet Hollywood and Paris casinos but Caesars has low ceilings and felt claustrophobic.

    7) If you love people watching, then Halloween is an awesome time to be in Las Vegas. And I didn't even make to the Downtown area!

    8) Porn slappers were out in force between PHo and Paris on Friday and Sat night. Strip Club hawkers also.

    9) The Bellagio fountain show was off on Friday, Halloween night, and I'm not sure why.

    10) Cleavage everywhere.....so many girls....so few wristbands.

Out of curiosity did you break these up because of a problem with the TR mover or is that just how they were posted at VMB? Just want to make sure all issues get fixed. The world needs your TR's :)

That other site made me post the good stuff in a separate thread in the Afterdark section. Hence, I need to manually recombine them.

Actually really appreciating this and the other TRs getting migrated. I had missed some of these, and it's fantastic to catch up.

The Chewbacca at Bally's is my favourite street performer of all-time. I finally got a picture with him last July. With that said, he was nowhere to be found when I was in town in January for 5 days. Hopefully his disappearance is not permanent, he's a staple for me

One of the newer members, so great to read this TR! Makes my itch to get to Vegas even worse.

    Do you mean he's dead?
