Ken, I think you are correct in
your self-diagnosis. Not many are as
fortunate as you have been in life's game.
For the rest of us, we still need to "chase"!

Whether condescension or ass-kissing, it is not needed. :)

Now we are talking about the chase? That's different. I thought we were talking about self-doubt.

Ken, the other end of the spectrum,
you see, from self-doubt is hubris, the tragic
fatal flaw of Greek drama. Hubris = down
    fall, keep in mind.

Hubris, the dangerous craft of showing off one's wealth, conquests.

The happy medium is confidence. Having the answers, knowing how to find them when you don't.

Ken, people with hubris refuse to
yield to others, and I think it is
fair to say they are not
frequently, if ever, intimidated by others.

Like Ken I have been married for a long time and have had many life experiences that have (hopefully) taught me much.
I grew up with folks who are very well known. Literally billionaires, Hollywood moguls, best actress award winners etc.
Maybe such associations have made it easier for me to relate to people regardless. Not all were upstanding. One of my best friends went to Soledad 5 to life.
I think just being honest and a good listener is worthwhile in this world. I also have learned a little bit about a lot of things which makes conversation easier.
Family is where it finally all begins and ends anyway.

Hi Malibu! How are you doing?
I too grew up with and work with those "types" and yes it is much easier to relate to and relax around them. For you and I at least.
So you just might agree with what I said this morning?

"I think if you take care of yourself in mind and body, love yourself and your family and the intimidation factor goes way down?"

Let's get out on the GC the next couple weeks?
