lol. I got voted "lame" on a post. That's just tragic. Someone who feels so strongly about my comments is too apathetic to provide a retort.

Incidentally, that's one of the main reasons having negative ratings on things is a bad idea. It allows the lazy moaners free reign.

Edit: I take it back. It looks like more arse licking from a usual candidate

The word lame just angers me. It's irrational.

I think the real problem is that everyone here seems scared of people who have a different opinion to anything than them. Did I accidentally join a cult? Or maybe it's just that everyone is too thin-skinned to have fun with each other...

Either way - sort your daft bacon out to improve your worldwide appeal.

EDIT: You weren't really suggesting that ingratiate is a big word were you? That is discombobulating.

Americans as a rule can't handle anyone who looks oddly at any of their customs. My wife and her family are trying to assimilate me into this cult. :)

I think one of our best attributes as Brits is to be able to laugh at ourselves.

you can look at it. so many Americans are
fat does that make it a cult? I mean

I see the smiley face emoticon hasn't made it to California. You don't need to take absolutely everything so seriously.

EDIT: I don't actually have any major complaints about Americans. I suspect you're not as odd as the majority of Europeans.

I do find it weird that the shutters go down any time there is a suggestion of a lack of understanding of your cultures though and it's weird how completely detached from the rest of the world the majority of American citizens are but that's hardly the end of the world.

EDIT 2: I think Europeans have the lead on fat people now, from memory.

Well, there is the cult of the higher-rollers here. Isn't that mostly why this place exists?

There also seems to be the cult of rate everything lame that shifter does. I feel I'm watching that scene in Toy Story where all the green things are in the toy grabber.

There are always exceptions to every rule that prove a point in either direction. In this case I'm not a high roller
