Fun fact on the original vs. remake discussion -- the "I don't understand, what happened to all that money?" line from the remake, though presented as coming from Mr. Walsh, is actually a sample from the original.

And honestly, this remake is one of the few instances of it being better than the original. The original was just an excuse to get the Rat Pack together in Vegas. Most people I've spoken to, and read opinions from on the internet, agree that the remake is better.

Sounds like you have quite the plan. Hopefully I'll run into you at some point.

Did a little prep work/training the other night. At least it kept me from climbing the walls thinking about my hours-to-departure countdown.

You bastards. I got roped into a trip out to the Hamptons next weekend, and I'm out there the weekend afterwards anyway (my girlfriend doesn't like me going more than once every couple months, two trips in as many weeks might be more than I can defend), but I'm now pretty jealous.

Also, the cotton candy foie gras at Bazaar Meats continues to haunt my dreams. Please make sure at least someone orders that.

In half a second. But we do have Carbone coming up, habibi!

The problem with the Hamptons is that lots of places are far too overpriced and not anywhere near the beach. It's all well and good to stay out in a house out there, but I'm just as happy walking a couple blocks to Central Park and laying down in the sun there. Far less expensive, too.
