No, not a new Halloween movie. Electricity went out this morning at 9.45 as someone sliced through the main cable. The hotel was in pitch darkness. Not even the emergency lighting in corridors or emergency fire exits had any lighting whatsoever. We had to walk down 29 flights with the light on the iPhone. No one is allowed to sleep there tonight and we spent two hours queuing to be allowed to use the service lifts to get enough items out that we needed. I saw parts of Paris hotel this morning that I never knew existed. Suitcases on a conveyor belt that were just lying there, bottles of water, loads of people's jackets hanging up, just a huge area that was really creepy. I think we took a wrong turn. The signs were practically non existent. Terrible, terrible emergency signings. They have given me a room at The Wynn but it took a lot of cajoling to get it. Lots are in Excalibur and Wynn just said they were having 40 rooms from Paris people tonight. Paris staff were saying there was no guarantee we'd get back in tomorrow and advised taking all luggage. We didn't, but took everything important. I thought the whole point of emergency lighting was that it worked if the electricity failed. Well, it didn't and it was really dangerous with no directioning at all. Thank God it wasn't a fire that's all I can say.

Saw this on the news this morning. Didn't look like a great experience and seemed like no emergency plans in place for these types of events. Seemed chaotic at best

A very serious code violation on the emergency lights. If enforced it could be a 6 figure fine. Another good reason not to stay at Paris.

Wow that is crazy. Hope you get back in to collect the rest of your items. If not maybe a BIG tip to a bellman if the bags are worth it. Hope the slot gods help you out while you are at the wynn. Maybe a nice hit like last time will help you relax

    Total Rewards. Mmmm, McHa$$ah'$.

We were at Rio in '0_ when all the juice went on that side on New Year's Eve. Actually, by then it was New Year's Day. Nothing as critical as this. Not remotely.

So what happened in the casino when all the machines went down with everyone's credits in them, and then everyone was forced to evacuate?
