isn't full of cheap ass whiners. (No offense to the frugal). Good lord it seems like VMB is just full of people who want to gripe and complain about how they got charged a resort fee, as if they aren't capable of simple arithmetic to add it to the overall cost of the hotel, which is still much cheaper than any other major city I've been to.

If it's not a RF they're complaining about Wifi charges. You can choose to not use the wifi, or you can pay the fee. You can't have your cake and eat it too.

I can go on and on but it just seems like that site is proliferated with cheap ass people who expect the world for nothing in return. They want to have a fully comped 4-5 star room mid strip with no fees, get a fantastic dinner for under $10 per person, and have 10 BJ tables offering 3:2 at the $5 level so they can pound as much premium booze as they can drink while they play, then threaten to "take their business elsewhere" if those requirements aren't met, as if the casinos care about losing that business.

I totally understand that people have different budgets, tastes, expectations, etc. I also understand that not everyone can or wants to throw down like Shifter, but then you need to adjust your expectations. If you're on a budget, go stay DT or off-strip where you can get what you want at the level you play. But if you're expectations are that you should be able to stay on the strip in a 5 star resort, get high end meals for the price of a dinner at Applebees, and play games with less than 1% HA at the $5 level, then get upset when that doesn't happen, well I don't know what to tell you.

Anyways, it's nice to have another MB option that isn't full of unrealistic whiners who thinks that the world owes them something...

some people whine just to whine. It will always be something that they are whining about. I gave up VMB long ago due to what you mentioned above. The same threads getting recycled all the time.

I get that part of it is that pretty much everyone who gambles in Vegas gambles what, in their mind, is a significant amount of money. Whether that amount is $500, $5,000, or 50,000+. Because it's "significant" to them, they expect the casino to treat it as "significant" as well, and when it isn't they get all bent out of shape. I don't think that most people really realize that their $10 bet at the BJ table doesn't generate enough revenue to the casino to cover the cost of the booze they're chugging, let alone comped rooms, meals, etc. The expectations are just unrealistic, and when they aren't met, they want to whine and complain. There are things that could be done to alleviate their issues (stay DT/Off-Strip) but they're unwilling to do so. They want to have their cake and eat it too.

Like I said, maybe it's because everyone gambles what they consider "significant" amounts of money, and the reality check of where they really stand in the casino's eyes doesn't mesh with that, but it gets old seeing the same threads and complaints over and over. Especially the resort fees...

I think a lot of things are at play. The universal concept is people like to complain. Next, most everyone thinks they are due more than they are. And something I've touched on a number of times, lotsa folks simply don't travel well, or certainly they don't travel well outside of a well-defined (and narrow) band of comfort -- why else does the been-around-forever-elsewhere resort fee thing resonate so repetitively? And then toss in the fact that you put X,xxx people in a room for x or xx years and have everyone talking about x x and x, and there will be repetition, lots of repetition. Maybe 10 years from now I'll still be putting up pictures of golf shoes and the pizza thread will have hit 1,234,456 posts, and it will all be a MAJOR IRRITANT.

Now when it comes to Vegas, for all the info out there, for all the savvy supposedly possessed by so many, I go back to several of the edicts above. The reality of the comp symptom is foreign to many. As another noted, everyone's bankroll is significant and important to them, so DAMMIT give me my due. Put in the mix that for gobs of folks Vegas and only Vegas is vacation; it's like a horse running with blinkers. And folks are just bad at math.

It's cool that people are comfortable here. At the risk of speaking for shifter, that's obviously why he launched this particular cruise line.

Hey guys, is it walkable to the hard rock from the airport? I really hate to spend $1.50 on a bus when I don't need to.
