Alright... so I've done this many times over the years. Four times at Lagasse's stadium and many times in assorted other locations (including ESPN Zone when it was still there).

The last time at Lagasse's was the end of my time there. The food sucks and I don't mind the reserve they have you put up the seats, but they had a single person at the betting window on Sunday morning and though I only about 15 people in front of me with over an hour left before game time, I couldn't get my bets in on time before the start of the game. Ridiculous. (Learn how to bet before you walk up to the window... silly side rant :)

Last few years I've been at Aria and Mirage. This year I'm planning to switch it up.

I'm think of the Cosmo or Bellagio... staying at Bellagio.

Is the Cosmo/Bellagio doing anything special for football Sunday that would preclude me from getting there three hours early to save myself a seat and wait for the games to start? Reserve seating... AYCD promotions... need to spend XXX dollars with the book to get a seat... etc?

I couldn't find anything online but that means shit. None of the books usually advertise what's going on. Feet on the ground know best. Anyone in Vegas this weekend that could ask at Bellagio and/or Cosmo sports books to find out what's going on this season?

I can ask next weekend for you if you don't get a response. PM me next weekend to remind me.

Thanks! Will definitely do that. Actually, if you happen to be in any sports book next weekend you can ask the question.

More than a dozen years ago when I first started going out for NFL football weekends, we stayed at the Wynn and decided to watch football Sunday in their sports book on Sunday morning. The Wynn was relatively new back then... probably a year or two old at that point.

We got down to the sports book EARLY and to our chagrin and surprise, all of the seats were reserved! And, we had no back-up plan! So, rather than taking our chances with other sports books, we decided to just go to ESPN Zone at NYNY where it was first come, first served but they have a food and beverage minimum per person. It all ended up working out well that year.

Since then, most sports books have been first come, first served. But, recently, I've noticed an uptick of sports books selling seats, like they do at the Mirage now. Special seating with all you can drink packages. I've also heard that Cantor makes you bet a certain amount to sit in their seats (Cosmo is Cantor). So, before I walk over on Sunday morning, I'd just like to know what to expect, I guess.

Well, screw it. I decided to just book a seat the Mirage sports book for Sunday so I don't have to worry about it. It wasn't too bad... $161 + $7 will call fee.

So, if anyone is down to watch football on Sunday September 18th... I'll be at the Mirage getting lubed up.

I'm contemplating buying a Saturday seat as well... that runs about $95 or so plus fees.

I don't know if you're limited to sports books, but I might try giving Hyde or Lily a call. Both roll in a bunch of TVs for football Sundays (and I think Lily has a couple big projection screens, too), and though I've only ever done walk-ins, I know they both take reservations, do special food service, etc.

Does the $161 fee include any drinks or is it just for the seat? Sounds kind of pricey.

This is great info. I think this is exactly what I'm going to do on Saturday. I'd feel a little guilty leaving the old lady for two entire days... but if I'm in the casino where she can come visit, I won't feel as bad.

I'll try to call them later today and find out the situation.

Unlimited Bud, Bud Light, Bud Light Lime, Michelob Ultra
Unlimited Don Julio Silver, Absolut, Jack Daniels and Jack Daniels Fire Cocktails

I actually drink Jack and Bud Light. So, I'm a happy camper.
