Yeah if I would have hit a couple of those 3k splits I had down last time we played I might have gotten hooked.

 

My birthday is 5/17. When I learned that 5 and 17 are right next to each other on the American wheel, I immediately knew the game was for me.

Long ago... as a newbie degen... I walked over to play roulette at the Venetian. Hit a red/black for $500 and I broke 500 in quarters. At the time, this was big money for me. I spread 5, 17, 22, and 32 for $25 each. My birthday plus those on either side. Blew through the first $500 and hit red/black again for $500 and spread the same numbers. This time, I hit 17 immediately with $25 on it. My girlfriend tells me to color up and we're getting out of there. I look at her and tell her the cardinal rule of roulette is "ain't nothing sweeter than a repeater!" I put the $100 back out and 17 hits again... back to back.

I colored up immediately and we to the bar and had a few drinks to celebrate. I love roulette.
