Atlantis is absolutely gorgeous. My 14 year old had the time of his life. Weather was great, only about 40 mins of rainstorm in all 4 days with one other sprinkling for a few minutes. Overall Rave Reviews from this guest.

As a CET 7 star, I got a Cove Room (which is like a mini suite) comped plus free resort fees, $400 resort credit, and $400 freeplay and Adventure Passes for all days. Upfront Comp was good for a mid roller like myself. The room and view was awesome.

I really liked the Cove Tower and area. The Atlantis shuttle service was great to move around the towers and very prompt always.

The Aquariums are second to none. If you come to Atlantis, make sure to visit them.

    Adventure Waterpark
While I did ride the Rapid Current River a few times(what a blast) and the Serpent waterslide (slow ride through a plexiglas tube with sharks swimming all around), my son was in heaven. He rode the slides all day long, couldn't get enough. We only knew we would see him at 7:00 when they closed all the pools down.

    CAIN POOL
I loved the Cain Pool for Cove Guests, adults only and I spent a lot of sun time there.

    DINING
Food was good, although we didn't go all out really. Ate at Bimini Road, Carmine's, Mesa Grill. My son loved the Virgil's BBQ Nachos with pulled pork. We had mainly Room Service for Breakfasts, and Sea Glass lounge had some nice snacks and appys for a quick bite close to the room.

MANDARA SPA was nice, had a massage, but it was nothing to write home about, relaxing but the therapist was truly mediocre in my opinion. The facilities were ok.

    CASINO
The Gambling was great for me. I didn't ever figure out the slot point system, but it seemed like I played similar to the way I play in Vegas, which was probably about $35k coin thru. I have almost $3k more than I came with and I spent quite a bit around. So yeah for me. I was hitting some pretty nice jackpots and No Hand Pays, No Taxes, but won jackpots, $1600, $3045 and $2450, along with quite a few more minor ones along the way. Great Fun!!!

Upfront Comps were more than adequate, but I usually also get quite a bit of backend comps when in Vegas. They said I didn't qualify for anything more. So, maybe Comps a little tighter here.

Atlantis is expensive, so if you come on the Teaser offer from CET partnership, prepare to spend like you would at any nice (non-gambling) vacation resort, prices are similar to the nicer Hawaii resorts, like Mani Lani Bay on the Big Island or Four Seasons in Lanai.

All in all, one of the best vacations I've had, with something for everyone. I will come back again, but far from home (SoCal) and the flight tix are pricey. First Class a must for the long trek across country.

We spent 3 days at the Fontainebleau Resort in Miami on the way over and I could do without that. My family went there about 30 years ago and my Mom wanted to re-live the experience. The hotel was still beautiful and we rented a a very nice ocean front wrap around condo in the Tesoro Tower, but didn't really like the Miami vibe compared to Atlantis. Here is the view from the condo

I missed getting to meet Bronco as he bailed and went to Vegas, but from his Trip Report, he was obviously supposed to be where he was.

BYE FOR NOW, MY VEGAS FRIENDS. Now, have to figure out my next weekender to Vegas.....hmmmm

Nice review Sin! Great to see your family had such a nice time. I'm considering Atlantis for my November get away but I've heard the low end rooms (not yours) can be pretty ropey so not pushed the button.

Great recap and glad you had a good time. I've heard it's expensive there. Congrats on pulling out ahead!

Great review! I am a little puzzled by the middle of the paragraph in "DINING" though. ? Sounds as though you had a great time and nice job on the wins with no taxes!

Thanks for the review. We are planning a fall trip to Atlantis. Which restaurant would you return to?

Thanks for the recap. Love the pics and details. I'm hoping to take advantage of CET's partnership with Atlantis. Hurricane season is starting up shortly, so I worry about the weather. I've heard that the backend comps are very tight in Atlantis.

Great TR and wonderful pictures. Also, what a timely review as my GF and I are headed to Atlantis for 4 days this weekend. Relieved to hear about the great weather that you had considering Broncofn's cancellation of his anniversary trip due to the bleak weather forecast. I'm also looking at a similar forecast (80% chance of thunderstorms for 3 days) but it makes me feel better that things turned for the better (Tellafriend also had similar reports of good weather). Thanks for taking the time to share your vacation.

Opps, just read my "Dining" portion. It was an accidental paste from a text about helping a very drunk friend last week.

    Sorry about that....

I love Mesa Grill. Know it well from Vegas trips.
