Cunt seems to be the most non-racist term to draw the most reaction in America. I try to use it sparingly, but calling someone a cunt at precisely the right time can be like combining a thousand insults into one.

But, now I'm curious. What's the most offensive English word in the UK? Wigwam?

Just saying, a veiled insult should be funny or clever, if not both.

 

cunt is certainly vulgar and near the top of the list.

but these days the words that cause the most uproar seem to be all the words we grew up using on the playground:

retard
fag
gay (used as an adjective)

a celebrity could call someone a cunt on video all day long and it would get marginal coverage and fade quickly.

use one of these words and his entire career could be over.
