Your posts are often more than the arrangement of the words that comprise them and those in this thread are no different. You have a way of sharing the feelings and emotion that accompany those words. My condolences for you and your family's loss, but appreciate you sharing the feelings. Many of us on this board are going through similar experiences and your thoughts help keep things in a positive light. Life does end... for all of us... but the dearly departed live on in our memories and in many ways, through us and who we've become.

 

Your mom sounds like a wonderful lady. I hope my Grandma can hang out with her in the great beyond. My condolences for your loss.

 

Ken, your mom was a classy, bright lady who helped those who loved her deal with the worst. You'll miss her. That's obvious. Think of her often, in a positive way, not sad. It seems like what she would want.

Thank goodness for the great people that donate their time and caring to hospices.

As mom said at one point, the only thing we know in life is that we are handed a one-way ticket and we have no idea when we'll be asked to step off, so enjoy the scenery and don't sweat the shit along the route.
