I'm 34K points away from Platinum and will be heading out for 3 nights over Labor Day weekend. Is it worth chasing Platinum if I don't make it over that weekend? The perks don't seem that much better over Gold, are the room offers way better? I'm not a huge gambler, I got most of this from room charges in 5 trips since last November.

What is the "Platinum Experience" upon check-in? Do they give you a free bottle of water, LOL?

It's not much to write home about but with 34k to go and a 3 day weekend, you should make it no problem.

$1k in spend will get you 25k points. A few nice meals and a day at the pool will get you there.

The Platinum experience is admission for two into one of their attractions, MB Shark Reef, the art gallery at Bellagio, Secret Garden at Mirage and the like, per visit. I have been platinum the past few years and I don't really see any noticeable benefits. In the MLife world offers truly are based on gaming and status means very little. I typically get a strip facing, high floor at Aria. My offers typically had been no resort fees, but my upcoming trip they are charging me those. Not sure what changed there. My play has steadily increased the past few years. I could be looking for a new program after this trip over Labor Day, we will see how things go.

Whether it's worth it depends on your value of the perks.

But your offers are tied into your theo and have nothing to do with the color of your card.

What was it back in the day of the Player's Club/Card? I guess there was no noir... but there had to be something.
