Yeah... I came close to betting on the Pens in the first since the Caps seem to always give up a goal in the first but I decided against it.

When the Caps were down by one, the puck line went to Caps +1 for -170 and I hammered it. I figured there was no way the Caps would lose by more than a goal and a push was a worst case scenario.

Turned out to be a good bet.

Okay. So, I'm still working on this but here's an update.

At first I contacted memberservices for MGM when I found this on the MLife page:

Select members being those that qualify for a tier match. Platinum being one of those.

I had a few Emails with them... the first a miscommunication and then I received this:

Okay, so that makes sense. I contacted Hyatt next. The first Email I received back told me how to upgrade my MLife tier based on my Hyatt tier, which doesn't work the other way around. So, I emailed them back and received this:

It appears that even though MLife still advertises the tier match that it no longer exists on Hyatt's side. I've emailed MLife to find out what gives but not hoping for much.

Oh, I should also note that I've decided against staying at Hyatt for my trip to NYC anyways just due to this debacle and booked another hotel. The only reason I was planning to use Hyatt was because of the tier status upgrade.

Very interesting. Have you checked your Hyatt account to validate that?

I don't see anything online indicating my status.

I know that I did this last year and got upgraded and actually used it staying at a Hyatt.

But I assume you need to get reupgraded each year.

I did the same thing that JoJo did. I used my Hyatt status to match to Mlife Gold. I used the same link he posted. It took a couple of tries but it worked.

All indications are that you do need to status matched every year.

It's odd how they don't show your status on the Hyatt Gold Passport website. If you go to the main Hyatt.com website and log-in from there, and click on your name in the top right, a drop down box will appear, and should list your current status.

It says gold member so it looks like they lied to me.

I will email them back today.
